The sun was starting to set over beach city and all of the ships sitting just outside Steven's home where starting to fill up with jaspers and amethysts once again. Their time visiting earth hadn't been long but it was certainly memorable, after so long they'd returned to their home planet for a small vacation, checked up on their old kindergartens and spoke casually with diamonds, it was a dream of most gems.
"Hurry up you useless chunks of earth!", holly blue agate called, standing just outside the largest ship and making sure each and every amethyst and jasper got in their correct ship and none where trying to hide out on earth. Steven walked hand in hand with his amethyst, she stood in front of holly blue agate and crossed her arms, waiting to hear some sort of insult from her. "sorry I was late", she sarcastically apologised, looking away, holly blue looked her up and down, analysing her new outfit, she smiled, a shocking site to most amethysts,"it seems you've finally decided to wear our uniform, your old form was quite, deplorable" amethyst snarled back at her.
"Sorry she was late, I was speaking with her", steven apologised as amethyst walked in the ship, purposely pushing holly blue as she walked past. "oh no need to apologise great steven diamond! You really shouldn't feel bad for these mischievous gems! And I would never ever question you! It would be treasonous for me to ever speak to a being as flawless as you in such a way!!", holly blue exclaimed, bowing deeply to steven, Steven cringed and took some steps back, giving an awkward thumbs up to her. "...erm thanks I guess", he replied. Soon after the ship started to float and Holly Blue waved him off and walked into the ship, the door closing behind her.
As steven walked away from the ship he saw jasper watching him, she was leaning on a tree with her arms crossed, she approached steven, looking around to make sure yellow or blue diamond weren't there. "Will you be able to show me before I leave?", she asked steven, slightly startling him, "n-no but, I'll call holly blue to have you brought here again, then I'll show you", he replied, jasper looked away, "I don't follow rules from an agate, when I worked for yellow I did solo missions, I didn't have amy commanders besides a diamond!", she pointed to herself.
"fine", Steven huffed, sticking his hand in his pocket, "that's why I was going to give you this", he took out a diamond line he had got from pearl and threw it to jasper. "when it's time for me to show you pink diamond I'll call you on this", jasper gently held the diamond line in her huge hands, "these are usually only for diamonds", she said under her breath, "its the easiest way for us to communicate", Steven replied, starting to walk away from her, he turned back to look at her one last time and said, "and by the way, make sure to apolgise to amethyst when you're on your way home", he then flew away up to his home, leaving jasper and the remaining gems to get in their ships and leave.
Steven flew up the hill to his home and opened the door. Pearl and lapis were sitting together, cuddling and browsing awfully made memes gembook while yellows pearl was awkwardly sitting alone on the other couch watching them. "Where is mum?", Steven asked, "she's with my diamond in your extraction chamber", yellow's pearl replied, pointing to the downstairs bathroom. "Thanks, pearl! I wonder why they're in there", Steven replied, going to open the door, "WAIT!", yellow's pearl cried, startling steven, and making him jump back from the door, "MY DIAMOND TOOK MY TABLET OFF ME I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO CHECK THE RECENT TRENDS ON GEMBOOK FOR THE LAST 24 HOURS!! PLEASE TELL HER TO GIVE IT BACK, HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE TRENDS WITHOUT IT!?", lapis and blue's pearl snickered to eachother as they watched her, she'd been begging them to let her use their tablet for the past 6 hours. "Alright, I'll see what I can do!", Steven replied, opening the door and walking in. It probably was for the best she had gembook taken off her, the things she posted there where some of the worst things to ever touch that place.
When steven walked in the bathroom, he saw yellow and blue diamond in the bath together, yellow was sitting behind blue and washing her hair, she was still wearing her helmet. "Oh, hey mum! I was wondering what you where doing in here!", Steven greeted them, yellow looked over to steven and gave him a look of pure hatred, blue yelped and pushed yellow away from her. "DO YOU MIND!?", she yelled, her voice echoing in each room of the house, "GET OUT OF HERE NOW! WHO AUTHORISED YOU IN HERE!? WAS IT PEARL AGAIN!? I SWEAR TO PARAGON SHES BEEN GETTING ON MY NERVES LATELY IF SHE ALLOWED YOU IN HERE IM GOING TO-", "no she didn't, by the way have you seen Pearl's tabl-", "GET OUT!", yellow show a bolt of lighting from her finger at steven, he quickly ran out, slamming the door behind him, the lighting shot out the door and hit yellow pearl in the butt as she was crying over her tablet, nearly destroying her physical form and making her loudly scream.
"I should've told you to not go in there", blue's pearl spoke up, putting her screen back in her gem and sitting up, "they really don't like having their private time interrupted", steven leaned on the wall by the bathroom,"oh jeez was that some sort of special sister bonding I need to apologise!", Steven cried, going up to the door to open it again, "don't go in there again", pearl warned him, "well if you want to die go back in there again!", lapis joked.
Steven walked back up to his room. These past couple of days with the gems from the zoo coming to visit and his fight with jasper had been so busy, he needed some time to relax. He kicked his dark blue sandals off and lay on his cookie cat themed bed, stretching out his arms and legs. He closed his eyes and relaxed his breathing.
When steven opened his eyes, he was sitting on a cloth at the beach. The weather was cool and the sun was setting, he was wearing a tuxedo and a top hat, with a oversized bow tie, next to him was connie, wearing an expensive dress and covered in bracelets and jewellery. "Connie", he spoke, putting his hand in his pocket, she stood up, smiling at him, he took out a ring, a blue diamond on it, he got on one knee, "will you marry me?", he asked, tears in his eyes, "of course!", Connie exclaimed, putting on the ring and leaning in to give him a passionate kiss, taking off his top hat and throwing it away as she kissed him.
"Ugh..", Steven moaned, waking up in his room, still half asleep, he lay on his side, he could see it was night outside now. He closed his eyes again "connie...", he mumbled, falling asleep again, his dream continued right where he left off.
