Steven's blue eyes opened, he was in a cold sweat, he tried to look around but his eyes where very blury, everything felt cold, it didn't feel like he was at home, but that would he impossible, he was just on the couch. He rubbed his eyes and tried looks around again, he definitely wasn't at home, he looked behind him, he was sitting on a tall white throne in front of a screen, he looked around once again, realising where he was, it was the moon base. "H-how did I get there....", Steven quietly says to himself, jumping off the chair, he was on the highest floor of the moon base, the walls where all glass and he could see space and the earth outside.
He stuck his face against the glass wall, his chubby cheeks squshing up against the glas as he looked out to earth, "and how do I get back home!?", he gulped, nervously looking around again. "OK steven think! This must be some sort of dream! And how do I check I'm not dreaming?", he punched himself in the face, not hard, but hard enough, "ok I'm definitely not dreaming!", he rubs his now bruised face, regretting ever trying such a thing, "but if this isn't a dream how did I...".
The stairs hadn't been activated so he had to fly to each floor with his wings, he flew down to the 2nd floor, he knew he could see earth from here, maybe he could see thag his family was also worrying about where he was and how he got here. He touched the sphere in the middle of the room and it turned into a mini earth, he spun it around and clicked on where beach city was, he looked around his home and could see pearl outside, she didn't seem to be worried, she was just gardening. "huh.....I feel like she'd be the first to know I'm gone", Steven narrowed his eyes, honestly quite disappointed she didn't seem to be worried, he waited for a bit, watching her brush up leaves, no other gem appeared, her facial expression never changed, she was completely straight faced. "Maybe it's very early and they haven't realised I'm gone yet?", Steven thought, it did look like the early morning but not early enough for him to still be asleep, if he was still asleep at this time pearl would definitely woke him up by now. After watching pearl for a while steven started to get frustrated, he turned the observation device off and flew down to the ground floor of the base.
Steven flew down to the dark room where each wall was covered in a tall diamond mural. He landed and leaned back on his mother's mural. "mum what is this?", he asked the mural, "is this some new power? Can I just teleport now!? You've never done this", he slid down on the floor, looking up at the images of his diamond family all around him. "And why would I go here and not some place like connie's home, I haven't thought about here in a while", he closed his eyes, hoping maybe he'd be able to go home again if he tried hard enough.
When he closed his eyes memories flashed for a second, it was the bismuths me met on homeworld! Then in another flash is showed sapphire, she was watching those bismuths, she looked so sad, "those gems are known for their friendly attitude", she said, the tall buildings the worked on starting to turn white and fade away, "I was once very close with one, she made some of the best weapons", she then faded away, her voice still remaining as an echo while everything else has turned white, "I wonder what became of her....".
Steven woke up and jumped up, "my promise to sapphire!", he exclaimed, feeling awful he has forgotten "i need to find the lost bismuth! But how do it do that!?", he put his hands on his head, dropping to his knees, sapphire voice started to rush through his head again, along with his voice promising her he'll find her old friend, "could this base be some sort of clue?", he looked up at the murals, "did the missing bismuth make this!?", he tried getting up to look but was forced down by another vision of sapphire flashing.
"But where do I even begin", he crawled on the floor, having another awful headache, "shes probably corrupted or dead....she'll hate me anyway if she's alive...I'm a diamond", as he desperately tried to pick himself up off the ground, he slammed his first onto the yellow diamond on the door causing it to ever to slightly push into the ground, causing all the murals to light up. "what!?", Steven looked down, the diamond symbols on the floor where buttons!, "so this place did have lights!", he got up from the floor and looked around, "it looks much more cozy like this!", his headaches and visions had dissappeared now, "Maybe I'll make this my home when I'm older! Just need to add some extra room and maybe...", he giggled, "maybe I can invite connie around and we can live here together, and maybe we can raise our kids here, what do you think, mum?", he looked to his mother's mural again, "I agree! What about you, aunt yellow?...", he laughed to himself, going back to the floor to turn the lights off, he couldn't be spending all day messing with the lights here.
"I really need to get out of here", he scratched the back of his head, "what if..."; he looked towards the door, "...I pressed this!", he slammed down on the button next to the door and it opened, the strong force of space nearly sucking him out immediately. "WOAHHHH!", Steven grabbed onto the doorway, using his full power to not fly away, "jeez thankfully i don't need lungs to breathe! I'd be super dead right now!", he pulled himself closer into the base to stand, summoned his wings, and flew out himself, trying to get some control of his surroundings.
"Space is so beautiful", Steven thought, looking at all the stars and earth quickly approaching, he turned around and looked back at the moon base, it was much smaller than he thought, "I wonder how many times mum does this, just flying around space, it does seem really relaxing", he turned around, about to look back at earth but then, "huh WAIT- WHA-", Steven got too distracted and flew right into a satellite, knocking away his wings and sending him flying to the earth.
"WAAAAAAAAAH THIS BETTER BEEEE A DREAAAAAAMMM", he yelled as he fell back to earth at an amazing speed, covered in blood and with a few teeth knocked out. He looked down and saw the ocean, he desperately tried to summon his wings but couldnt, he started to panic as he got closer and closer, "NONONONONONO", he put his arms in front of his face, it was the only thing he could do to try and soften the fall.
