chapter 131 pink diamond's awkward reunion

Jasper's ship landed just outside beach city, crashing into a field, creating a loud "BANG!" Sound and covering all around in a green light. It was a rental ship given to her by an emerald and flew back almost as soon as she got out of it, it was damaged but able to fly away, now she had no way to get out of this planet. Jasper looked around her surroundings, she could see the high hill steven lived on that overlooked beach city not far away, she was close enough, it was night now, she'd be able to be at his house tomorrow morning.

Steven slept in his bed, wearing his bright yellow, banana patterned pyjamas, he needed a long sleep, these couple days had barely given him a chance to relax. A dark shadow loomed over steven, a orange arm came out of the darkness and lightly poked his chubby cheeks, Steven woke up and slowly opened his eyes, slightly annoyed to whoever woke him up, especially so late at night. When his eyesight cleared and he could see fully, he jumped back, jasper was standing above him, watching him, her yellow eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Greetings, my steven", jasper said, lightly bowing and saluting, "j-jasper!? It's a bit early you know!", Steven said, getting out of bed and going inside his closet to put some clothes on, he came out wearing his usual dark blue Mr universe star t shirt with the top cut to show some of his gem, dark blue pants, white shocks, dark blue sandals and his Cape. "And don't call me 'my steven' that's pearls thing, just steven is good enough", he went back to the bed and sat on it, gesturing jasper to sit next to him. "Alright, steven", jasper said, sitting next to him, she was huge and nearly broke the bed. "So, you got here early..", Steven said, trying to make small talk, "I landed at night, I thought you wanted to see me at the morning, isn't that late steven?", she asked, "no, I meant tomorrow morning! so in a couple hours! But midnight is good timing, I guess".

Jasper got off from the bed and opened the blinds covering the windows, she looked out the window down to beach city. "humans have changed so much since I emerged", she said, she turned to steven, "do they still hit rocks at eachother?", she gave him a creepy smile, "erm...", Steven felt some sweat running down his cheek, of course the perfect soldier would want to know about how humans fight. "we have more, better weapons now to do that...erm, like guns, and swords", he walked to her and closed the blinds, putting the room back into darkness. "Why do you refer to the humans as 'we'? You are not one of them, you're a diamond! You shouldn't compare yourself to them!" She chastised him, Steven rolled his eyes, he didn't want to have another conversation explaining how he is half human again. "jasper, humans aren't that dumb you know? They may not be as cool, strong, interesting, colourfull...OK they are a bit worse than gems but they're not THAT bad! And how did you even get in my house!?", jasper laughed at this and pointed to the door, "I just walked in!", she told him, "I made sure to do it extra quietly and respectful", she joked, "waking me up wasn't very respectfull", Steven mumbled.

Steven went back to bed and made jasper wait downstairs on the couch until morning, this didn't go well, at about 5am he was awoke by pearl screaming, her and lapis had gone downstairs to prepare steven some breakfast and ran into jasper. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?", lapis yelled, summoning her wings and protecting her and pearl with a water sheild, "do you want a round two with steven or something!? Because you won't get it!", jasper shook her head and stood up from the couch, "steven told me to come here!", she calmly told them, looking up to the stairs where steven was coming down. "My steven what is this!?", pearl called to him, "oh I told jasper to come here, later me and her are going to see pink", he told them, pearl dropped her rapier, which dissappeared when it hit the ground and lapis made all her water attacks also dissappear, jasper smirked, "see? I would have never lied about a diamond order!".

Lapis and pearl awkwardly walked away and left jasper and steven, pearl had already prepared some breakfast with steven and he shared it with jasper. "What is this?", she asked, looking disgusted as she looked down at the bowl of cereal, "it's my breakfast, I know most gems don't eat but it's quite good", Steven told her, getting a giant spoon and picking up a large amount and eating it, jasper cringed when she watched him eat, when he was done he passed the spoon to her, she grasped it in her giant hands, "want to try some?", Steven asked, "yes my dia- steven". Jasper awkwardly got a tiny bit on the spoon, trying to get the smallest possible bit on it, she placed it in her mouth, accidentally chewing on the spoon and made painful eyecontact with steven as she swallowed, she gave him back the spoon, now dented and said, "never again", to him, now refusing to even look at the cereal as steven started eating again, not even caring about the dented spoon.

After the awkward breakfast steven got up from the couch and stretched, "Alright, I think we're done here, are you ready jasper?", he asked, jasper immediately knew what he meant and got up from the couch, "of course", she replied, instinctely saluting, Steven didn't tell her no this time and walked to the basement, opening it up and revealing the warp-pad, "it's time", he said, looking down at the warp. As this was happening, greg walked down the stairs, ready to leave for his job at the carwash, he froze when he saw jasper joining steven at the warp, her white hair and face sticking out from the floor, "who is this fine specimen?", jasper asked steven, "Hey there", greg greeted, winking at her, he heard what she had said, Steven couldn't handle more gems being crazy for his father and loudly said, "HE'S NO ONE! LETS GO!", and triggered the warp pad, quickly warping away, leaving greg alone.

"That was rude!", Greg sulked, lapis and Pearl's heads popped around from the corner, "Is that brute finally gone?", pearl asked, "brute? She's quite a sexy lady in my opinion, but yes they're gone", greg replied, opening the door, he turned to them before he left, "did you hear what she said about me? Tell me her name when you get back, I want to know more about the orange warrior queen!".
