"I feel like I haven't been in here for a while!", Connie said, opening the door to Steven's home, her mother standing next to her, before they visited steven had gave them long detailed descriptions on what to do and how to act with the new house guests, as he knew theyd definitely catch their attention. "Yeah! It only feels like yesterday that I was in space!", Steven replied, guiding connie over to the couch and sitting with her, connie's mother could see yellow diamond was peaking behind the corner and watching them. "Is this one of your mother's family friends?" Priyanka asked, pointing over to yellow, who gave steven a little wave, "y-yeah she's my mum's sister", Steven replied, slightly caught off guard and embarrassed yellow was already making a bit of a scene. yellow could see they where talking about her but didn't back off, instead, she made the situation worse and walked over to the three of them, introducing herself.
"Greetings, have we met before?", yellow diamond said, looking down to connie and her mother, "we where in space for a bi-", Steven jumped in front of connie before she could finish, "NO! THESE ARE JUST MY FRIENDS, NOTHING BAD NOW PLEASE GO AUNT YELLOW!", Steven quickly interrupted, sweat running down his face. Yellow laughed at him, "oh steven! I don't think your friends are doing anything bad! I just want to see them!", she sat inbetween steven and connie, nearly knocking them off the couch with her huge size. "so tell me, what are your names?". "I'm connie maheswara and this is my mom Dr priyanka maheswaran!", Connie introduced them, yellow shook priyanka's hand, "doctor you say? What an interesting job", "yes I work at the hospital not far from here", priyanka replied, letting go of yellow's hand, she had quite a tight grip on her, nearly crushing her much softer human hand.
"you know I myself like to do some things that could consider me a gem doctor, do you like putting things back together?", yellow gave her an odd smirk, "what do you mean by that? If you mean surgeries then definitely, I love being able to save so many lives", priyanka gave her the benefit of the doubt, assuming maybe yellow didn't know english well "I love doing surgery on gems, I'm able to repair the broken, the shattered, the deformed, just with my bare hands and glorious powers, knowing you humans have such similar hobbies is quite a shock", this time yellows smile seemed genuine, friendly, it caught steven off guard, he never thought he'd see her so talkative to a human that wasnt greg, " I never expected you things to be intelligent enough....I never expected any intelligence to come out this planet".
Yellow and priyanka continued talking for what seemed like forever, with connie and steven just awkwardly sitting there, looking at eachother, begging for it to end, their torture would finally end when steven heard a familar bike stopping just outside the house. Blue opened the door and loudly yawned, when she saw connie There she froze, when she then noticed yellow diamond and who she was talking to, she dropped the fries she had got especially for steven. "Blue? There you are!", yellow ran up to blue and grabbed the fries from the floor, "have you been having fun on your new bike?", she asked, her face full of fries she just ate off the floor, "yeah....why is connie and Dr maheswaran here?", blue asked, pointing over to them, "I'm not sure, Steven said they're his friends and I really like this Dr maheswaran!".
Steven and connie both sighed from relief almost in perfect unison, finally someone who could maybe stop the boring conversations they where forced to sit and listen to. "Hey connie, is it OK if you come outside? I want to show you something", steven said, getting up from the couch and reaching his hand out for connie, he needed to get out of here, if he had to spend more minute listening to yellow talk about gross medical stuff he'd die."of course, is that fine mom?", Connie asked, "as long as you call me in 5 minutes and aren't too far away!", priyanka replied, her voice as harsh as ever. "And see how harsh and caring she is! That's the treatment we should've gave pink!", yellow whispered to blue, she really admired her strict parenting and wanted to learn from her, blue on the other hand was just suprisd yellow found a human friend, everyone was.
