Lars and Sadie quietly bickered amongst eachother in the empty big donut, only stopping when the door opened and steven and connie walked in. "Hey lars! Hi Sadie!", Steven happily greeted them, waving, Connie walked in behind him, her parents didn't let her have donuts so being here was special to her. "Steven I haven't seen you in a while did you go somewhere?", Sadie asked, getting steven the usual as connie looked around, wondering what to choose.
"I went somewhere with my mum to see her family, I don't think I've missed much right?", Steven replied, helping connie pick a donut. "You might've missed quite a lot actually, all those demonstrations, the crazy blue dinosaur that I heard was from some movie, it caused some crazy damage!", Sadie said as lars texted someone and payed no attention to the conversation. "Yeah I've heard only a bit, it seems like the whole town went crazy when I left!", Steven took out some money he got from his one of his dad's secret stashes at home, connie also got some coke, it took her a while to choose a drink, all the ice creams and drinks they had on sale shed normally never be allowed to have.
Connie and steven left the big donut and made their way to beach citywalk fries, Steven hadn't seen peedee in a while and wanted to catch up. As they approached, they could hear the sound of another anti dewey protest, they hid behind a near by building and watched. Outside beach city walk fries was the owner, Mr fryman, holding a ridiculously oversized megaphone and leading a protest that had a lot of people, it was the most people steven had ever seen in beach city!
"The corrupt dewey family has terrorised this town forever!", Mr fryman yelled through the megaphone while people cheered, "First, he terrorised us business owners now he sells our entire city out! This can't go on!", the people cheered, as steven watched on he noticed peedee, still working and looking exhausted, he also noticed Steven and waved him over.
Steven and connie had to walk through the giant protest to see peedee, thankfully the protest soon started to march away and beach citywalk fries was now almost empty. Steven watched the protest move away, soon, cars were joining in and it was staring to take up entire parts of the boardwalk. "Hey Steven, how are you and your weird mom?" peedee said, he was very embarrassed about his father, "she's fine, how are you? you don't seem ok And she's not weird!", Steven replied, trying to hide how offended his comment about blue diamond made him.
Peedee huffed and slumped down onto the counter , "my dad's become obsessed with this whole dewey thing, I'm starting to miss the days when he forced me to work as a mascot instead of this new life and my brother won't shut up about this alien stuff, the whole town has gone mad!", he complained, for days now he'd been used by his father to give out food to the giant protests he's been leading, each day the protests got bigger and bigger but peedee didn't have anyone else to work with him. "That sounds awful! wanna come to my house?" Steven said, taking a donut out the bag and passing it to peedee, peedee took it and jumped over the counter, "I'd do anything to get out this job, I wasn't even allowed to quit when that blue godzilla threw a whole mountain at us!", Steven and connie awkwardly looked at eachother, "...well about that...", Connie said, before steven hushed her, "I'll try and explain it to him", Steven whispered to her, connie nodded back.
Steven took peedee and connie to his house, he told them he had a special suprise for them that would explain all the crazy things that happened in beach city. Connie and peedee both waited on the couch while steven went upstairs to prepare this "suprise". "This house is so big and this couch is so comfy", peedee said, laying back, and looking around at the home, this was already the longest break he'd got this year, he was only a year older than steven but had a full time job and wasn't even allowed to go to school anymore. "Yeah, his dad is pretty rich, I remember he told me his mom was the person who made this house all by herself, that must be why its so much further than all the other homes-", Connie said, only to be interrupted by the lights in the room going dark.
Suddenly a touch went on, pointing to a hastily made sock puppet steven had just made. He pointed the blue puppet up, its eyes shaking, "This is the story of blue-zilla!!", he yelled, trying to do a scary voice, he spun around and pointed the puppet at this audience, doing all sorts of strange sounding animal noises as the puppet bit at them, connie laughed and clapped while peedee just watched on in confusion.
Steven pressed a button on the touch to make it brighter, accidentally shining it into his eyes for a second and putting the light onto himself while he put the puppet behind his back. "this is the story of blue-zilla! A terrifyingly sad tale of the monster that threatened our beach city!!", he proclaimed, connie clapped some more and peedee just huffed. He thought this would be a break, not some mad show he'd be forced to watch.
The light went dimmer again, only focusing on the puppet, "once the monster you know as blue zilla was a beautiful young woman", Steven pulled the puppet off his hand and picked up his plushie of blue diamond pearl had made for him when he was young, he'd always sleep with it when his mother was gone for work. "This poor woman had a sad life. Her sister was tragically murdered by the evil rose quartz! And she spent the rest of her life in deep mourning!", he did some fake wails as he shook around the blue plush, connie fought back laughter, Steven's acting really was something!
"One day when mourning her sister she met a nice man, they fell in love and had a very cool and handsome child, soon the family moved to beach city, life seemed good, but sadly that wouldn't last", he set the light on a table and prepared more puppets and toys. "One day when the nice man was performing a song", he used a Teddy bear for greg and shook it around while trying to make guitar sounds, "he had a strange fan come up to him...the rose quartz herself!", Steven pulled out a rose from his pocket, "the nice man knew who she was but they still spoke! soon they became close friends and the man started to spend more time with her than his wife! And the villain rose started to love him too! So much she told him she'd reveal her biggest secret to him!".
"The awesome son would find out about this and be very mad!", he again made the light brighter to reveal himself and yelled at the Teddy bear, "how could you!", and "why would you do such a thing!". Peedee whispered to connie, "what is this?", Connie giggled "I'm not sure but it's very accurate!", she replied. "And the son, being as cool and awesome told his mother who was devasted, she went to confront the rose and her husband but found out something that would change her forever! This whole time, somehow, rose was her dead sister! She'd faked her death this whole time! And when she found this out she was so enraged...", the light turned off for a second as steven tried to quickly put the puppet over his hand, "...AND SHE TURNED INTO BLUE-ZILLA!!!!"
Steven summoned his water wings and flew around the room, sneaking up behind the couch and walls and had "blue-zilla" snap and bark at the audience, finally peedee was starting to laugh along to the performance. "Blue-zilla's rage was uncontrollable! She attacked her family and even threw a mountain at her lover!", Steven flipped the table with the puppet-covered hand and growled again, "I remember that all too well", peedee mumbled to himself.
"Blue-zilla's rage was understandable but must be stopped, her sister and her amazing son had an idea", Steven took out a giraffe figure to represent yellow diamond (a very accurate portrayal), "but it involved the use of the not so nice man!", he ran around the room once again, having the giraffe and himself follow after the puppet. "Blue zillia cried and flew to the place she thought her sister had died all those years ago. her amazingly cool son followed after her, they cried to eachother and when she was calmed down the not so nice man arrived, her sister and the cool son forced him forward to confront the consequences of his actions!".
Steven pushed the bear to the puppet, it snapped at it a couple times, "the man saw the pain he had caused and apologised, he cried and begged for forgiveness, and to show how sorry he was he gave blue-zilla a kiss and then-", Steven was interrupted by the lights being switched on by peedee. "Steven you didn't need to tell us some dumb story, I already could tell that dragon thing was your mom", peedee said, Steven was in shock and threw off the puppet, "how did you!?", "its kinda obvious, the blue skin, the curves the giant gem in the chest, undoubtedly that crazy lady", he sat back down next to connie who was disappointed the show had ended so abruptly.
Steven got up from the small desk he had prepared and frowned, "fine then peedee if my cool story isn't cool enough for you I'll show you something you can't beat", he then looked to connie and winked at her, he then looked to peedee, "Hey peedee! Wanna see stevonnie? I know you definitely haven't seen anything like that!", Connie excitedly rushed to steven, ready to fuse, peedee raised an eyebrow, "ste-wha!? is this your couple name or something!?", Steven held Connie's hand, "you're about to find out!".
