There was a beautiful sunset and steven had set up the most romantic place he could possibly make. A posh cloth (actually a expensive scarf he found that his father owned) laid out on the sand, flowers his mother had created through her powers sat in a tall vase filled with water he summoned himself not too far away, on the cloth was a basket, inside all the food he knew she loved. Steven sat near the basket, nervously waiting for her, wearing the suit he has got from empire City, and constantly checking his hair through the front camera on his phone, his other hand in his other pocket, checking he still had the gift he had prepared for her, the reason he had told her to come here.

After about 5 minutes of him worrying alone he could see her, connie, slowly approaching, the sound of her walking in the sand getting louder. He quickly fixed his posture and hid his phone in his pocket, trying to hide how scared he was. Connie looked around at the set up, she could see how much effort he had put into it, she was amazed. "Wow....", she gasped, "steven this is....", she didn't know what to say, Steven gestured for her to sit down near him and she did, he closely watched her with his bright blue eyes.

"It's great you could come, I was worried your parents weren't going to let you", Steven said, taking out a overly posh glass bottle of coke and giving it to her, "I'm surprised too", Connie replied, slightly struggling to open the bottle, only being able to open it with some slight help from steven,  "summer break is nearly over and they're going to make me start so many new clubs and after school studies, I'm not sure we'll be able to spend much time together now", she looked out to the sea and sighed, mourning all those days they spent together.

"Oh....", Steven's voice dropped, not liking what she had just said but trying to hide his very noticeable sadness, "maybe I can come to school with you?", Connie nearly spat out her drink, "W-WHAT!? YOU CANT COME TO SCHOOL WITH ME!?", she laughed, not seeming to see how serious he was being, "and plus I've got all those other things I need to do like tennis practise, violin-", "IL DO THOSE TO! I PROMISE!", he told her but she laughed some more, it was already very difficult for her to keep track of them all but steven being able to perfectly copy all the clubs and times she'd be there was definitely impossible.

As this was happening, blue diamond watched closely from behind a rock, she'd help plan this all for steven, even faked an emergency at Connie's mother's hospital so she'd be back late enough for her to come. Blue sighed nearly loud enough for them to hear, "oh connie....your life is so hard, if only someone could help you, if someone could change your life", she wondered, "maybe then you'd be able to be with steven, and no one would be in your way". She yawned and looked up, it was nearly night, maybe best she leaves them and goes back home, Steven didn't know she was still there and if she was caught she knew it would end badly, she didn't need her future vision to know that.

Steven stood up and lightly grabbed onto Connie's shoulders, leaning in slightly, "I will do it! Tell me what school you go to! Tell me where all your clubs are! I can go I have wings to fly there!", his voice was loud and passionate, almost a bit scary. Connie shook her head and gently moved his hands off her shoulders and checked her phone, her eyes widening as she saw the time. "Oh no! Steven I'm really sorry I gotta go! Dad will be back soon!", she quickly ran away, leaving steven alone, dropping her coke in the process, spilling it all over the sand but somehow missing most of the cloth, Steven looked down to it and sighed.

For a while steven stayed there, watching the waves, watching it turn to night and eating all the special food he had ready for them, he wasn't sad just frustrated. eventhough he didn't live a normal life, his father never let him go to school despite his mother's protests, he knew this wasn't normal, connie had to constantly keep track of time or shed get yelled at, he'd even seen her mother lecture her for only being a couple minutes late to her violin practise, it was enragng to watch and he was powerless to stop it. He packed up and made his way home, it was quite dark out now, he opened the door and looked around, there was yellow diamond sitting inbetween her pearl and blue's on the couch, she looked over to him and asked, "where have you been steven? I haven't seen you in a long time". "N-nowhere important", he studdered, trying to hide the basket and the flowers he had prepared, he didn't want to explain who connie was to aunt yellow just yet.
