Steven's footsteps echoed across the long blue hallways of his mother's ship, before jasper got here he'd pay a visit to pink diamond himself. His mother followed after him, she'd set up pink a nice room with plants and lots of space, it was nothing like the prison steven had expected, more like a room, it was even bigger than blue's own room on her ship. Steven frowned when he saw the room pink was kept in, the only thing making it a jail was the yellow forcefield around the room, if she touched it her physical form would be destroyed.
"Mum, this doesn't look like a prison", Steven complained, pointing over to pink, she was currently juggling some bubbles she had made while balancing on a bigger one. "That's because it isn't!", blue replied, getting pink's attention, who made the bubbles dissappear. "it's just where she stays for now! I visit her everyday and gift her things, maybe soon ill let her out!", pink looked over to see steven and waved, Steven tried to look away but could feel his arm going up and waving back, blue was making him wave, it was embarrassing.
"Mum, can you not?", Steven slapped his mother's hand off his arm and pulled it away from her, "you know how I feel about pink and why are you so comfortable around her!? She hurt you so much!", pink loudly cleared her throat, "you know I'm here right!", she yelled from behind the forcefield, "do you think I can't hear you from behind here?". "I'm not sure myself!", blue told him, "I really should be angry at her for all the lying, making me live a life of grief, trying to kill myself over her... but I'm not! In fact the more we talk the more similar I find out she is! We both love earth and greg!", Steven cringed, and looked back to pink who was now very close to the forcefield, "you know greg would want me out of here, how about you invite him here to play me some tunes", she said to blue, "IM STILL NOT SHARING HIM!", blue snapped, Steven covered his ears as they started arguing over greg, again.
"CAN YOU GUYS SHUT UP ABOUT MY DAD FOR ONCE!", Steven yelled, hands still on his ears, he couldn't handle this praise of his father any longer, when blue and pink had gone silent, he slowly moved his hands away from his ears. He sighed, "finally, now I can talk about why I went to see you pink", pink shuffled on the floor and sat down by the forcefield to get a closer look at steven. "I came here today because I'm going to be letting 2 gems visit you". Pink raised an eyebrow and tilted her head, "who? Garnet and amethyst?", she asked, Steven shook his head, "jasper and bismuth", he corrected her. When steven said the name of bismuth pink's eyes widened, she stood up and backed away into the room, "b-bismuth...", she studdered, blue watched, smirking at how good steven was at scaring her just with his words, he really was proving himself to be a good diamond, if yellow saw this she'd reward him greatly.
"Yes, pink THAT bismuth", steven told her, taking steps closer to the forcefield as pink stood in the corner, terrfied, he felt so powerful watching her. "I freed her, I found out what you did, how you hid her away from everyone!", he pointed his finger at her, making it go through the forcefield, he flinched and jumped away but he wasn't hurt. "huh?", he stuck his whole hand through, he was immune to the effects, he looked over to his mother for answers, "That's because of your organic body, pink is light like normal gems, we're not so it doesn't effect us", blue explained as steven messed with the forcefield, sticking his arms, head and legs through it, not knowing they where opening up just enough space for pink to make an escape!
Pink kicked the back of the wall and flew to the gap steven had made by sticking his arm through the field, she'd be able to fit through just enough! Steven and blue both noticed this, blue grabbed steven, pulling him away from the forcefield, closing it and nearly making pink fly right into it, she quickly stopped, digging her feet into the ground, less than inches away from touching the forcefield. Steven summoned his scythe and put it through the forcefield, pointing it just below her chin, "don't do that again", he said, "you're not leaving until you've apolgised to bismuth and jasper!", pink laughed, "I don't even know who this jasper is! They where bad soldier gems made during the war! I probably fought some! And if it weren't for me bismuth would've killed your mommy!", Steven was now enraged, he summoned chains of water and covered her arms and legs with them, pulling her to the ground and dragging her away from him.
"It's best we go now, Steven, she annoys you too much", blue said, lightly smacking the back of Steven's head, catching him off guard and making the chains and scythe disappear, she grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out, "shes only messing with you, but you're very strong that's good, I want to see more of that strength", she told him, walking away with him and leaving pink Alone once again, she listened to their voices echo across the ship until they finally left and all went silent. Pink sighed and leaned against a wall, looking up at the small window showing the field around her and the bright sun shining through, above her was a shelf where the plants from different planets blue had got for her sat. "This must be how spinel feels", she said to herself, she laughed at that thought, laying down on her makeshift bed, "nah! She definitely left there by now!", she looked to her side, showing some old Mr universe posters, "that would make me the loneliest gem ever if she left", she realised.
