Blue and yellow came out the bathroom together, yellow behind blue, both only wearing towels, blue went upstairs to go and sleep while yellow stayed downstairs to speak with greg who just came through the door after a long day at the carwash. As soon as Yellow saw greg, she summoned her clothes in a flash of lightning, she took the towel off and threw it away from her and back in the bathroom. "Long time no see, greg universe" yellow greeted him, sitting next to him on the couch, smiling at him, it was quite unusual for yellow to be seen smiling, "great to see you too, yellow", greg replied, shuffling closer to her. "So, how's blue been? No freakouts?", he asked, whispering to her with their faces very close together, almost touching, "shes been very calm, we just used the extracti-, bath over there together", yellow pointed over to the bathroom, "together? As in both in the bath? And nude?", greg asked, disgusting fantasies filling his mind, "of course! Well I kept this on", yellow joked, poking her helmet, "damn....", greg said under his breath, "I wish i could see that".
Blue went to her room and lay flat on the bed, almost going to sleep automatically, not even noticing her pearl was standing in the corner in the dark. Her pearl approached her and looked at her, loudly exhaling through her pointed nose, "My diamond....", she whispered, checking if she was asleep, blue didnt reply, "hmph...", pearl walked past her and out the room, the house was very dark now, it was the dead of night. Pearl slowly and slightly opened each door and looked in, this was her routine when everyone was supposed to be sleeping, she checked each room to see what everyone was doing, lapis was alseep in the upstairs bath again, that place had become her room now it seemed, pearl smiled when she saw her, She then looked down the stairs and saw greg with yellow, they where so close, it didn't look right.
"Is my diamond down there?", a voice from behind her asked, scaring pearl. She jumped and looked behind her, nearly yelping and making quite a scene, she turned around, only to be met by yellow's pearl. "Oh...you", pearl breathed a sigh of relief, "yes she is down there", yellow's pearl smiled, "do you think she can-", "no she won't give you back your tablet", she put her hand in front of yellow's Pearl's face, shutting her up in the kindest way she knew. "and I wouldn't go down there or even look down there if I was you", blue's pearl started to walk away, leaving yellow's pearl alone and confused in the dark, "Why shouldn't I look?", she thought to herself, taking a small peek only to see her diamond in some sort of embrace with that human, her eyes widened, she covered her mouth, eventhough she had no stomach and had never eaten she felt like she was going to vomit, she rushed away from the stairs in and instant, regretting not listening to that other pearl.
"I recently overheard from the pearls that blue used some gem technology to make an earth like vehicle and it ended up being destroyed", yellow said, she was now laying down on the couch with her head in Greg's lap, greg had taken off her helmet and was now stroking her messy, short but overgrown hair. "You mean that red bike? She ended up in the hospital for some time because of that, it exploded in some accident, she was ok, but it was quite scary", greg replied, running his fingers through her hair, it was rare for her to show anyone her hair, most gems thought her helmet was her hair. "she made it all herself, I feel bad she lost it", yellow looked up to him, now that he had turned blue after his resurrection he really reminded her of blue diamond, his long hair was nearly the same colour as her's now too. "I wonder," Yellow slightly moved to her side, looking away from greg, "would blue like it if I made another one of those bikes for her?", she looked back up to greg, her yellow eyes glowing in the dark room, "I think she'd love it", greg replied, starting to play with her hair again.
Blue opened her eyes, the sun shining in from the windows woke her up, she got up from her bed and threw on her usual dress, her hair was so long and messy now, she didn't know what to do with it anymore, she almost missed the hairloop since at least she could control it. She lay back on her bed and looked up to the ceiling, she just wanted to sleep again, it was her favourite thing, she loudly huffed and closed her eyes, before she could sleep again she heard the door open, she looked to see who it was and saw yellow diamond walking in, she had a big smile, it was unlike anything blue had ever seen, it looked wrong.
"Hello, blue", yellow greeted her, sounding happy, blue sat up, wondering if it was a dream as yellow never acted like this. "....hello, yellow?", she awkwardly replied, feeling uneasy, how yellow was acting didn't sit right with her. "I have a present for you, come down, I want to show you", yellow said, still smiling, outstretching her hand, "a present?", blue asked, raising an eyebrow, "yes! a present!", yellow kept that creepy smile, "....okay...", blue took yellows hand and let her lead her downstairs, she was convinced greg or steven had told her to act like this, it didn't feel natural at all, in fact, it made blue feel creeped out.
Downstairs, greg was sitting on the couch, and the two Pearls were watching in the corner. Yellow's pearl had been very silent all day, no one knew why, but they prefered it, greg was smiling at blue and watching her and yellow very closely. Next to him was a big box, it took up most of the space in the living room. "Where is steven?", was the first thing blue asked, looking around, "It's still very early", greg quietly replied. "Blue!", yellow loudly said, jumping in front of her, "me and Mr universe have prepared a present for you!", blue giggled, yellow's acting had gone from creepy to cute, "really? Why? I didn't do anything?", she said between laughs, "well...", yellow tried to remember her prepared lines she'd gone over with greg all night, "...you don't need to do anything to be deserving of a present!", she clicked her fingers, making the box open, "BECAUSE YOU'RE PERFECT ENOUGH!", inside the box was a brand new, perfect reconstruction of blue's bike.
"WHAT THE- YELLOW HOW DID YOU!?", blue was amazed. She immediately rushed to the bike and looked at each detail, it was all perfectly remade, and even every sticker blue had covered the bike with was replaced. "Me and greg were talking last night", yellow began as Blue continued admiring her gift, "and he spoke to me about how you lost this creation of yours, so I remade it!", "this is amazing!", blue hugged yellow tightly, "thank you so much, I love you", yellow hugged her back. "I know someone else who'd like this gift", greg said, sitting up, blue let go of yellow, "steven would! Please wake him up!", "that's what I was going to do it's like you can read my mind!", greg laughed, "Well, i can, but this time I didn-", "Maybe we are so in love that we don't need to use powers to read each other's thoughts, blue-blue!".
Greg knocked on Steven's door, unlike blue he usually had the decency to not just break in. "Steven! Steveeeen! Wake up! We've got something cool waiting for you downstairs!", he called, not yelling but loud enough to wake him up. "OK Dad!", Steven called from his room, "just wait a bit! I'm getting dressed. I'll come down then!", he sounded nervous, "Fine schtu-ball, but don't take forever!", Greg called back, going back down the stairs after. After about 4 minutes steven emerged from his room, he was wearing an old, black Mr universe t-shirt and dark blue jeans his father got him, blue didnt like jeans and hated people wearing them so greg had to buy them for him in secret, it was a very different look compared to what he usually wore.
"Hey dad, what did you want me to see- OH MY GOSH!?", Steven yelled as he saw the bike in the middle of the room, "Pretty cool, right? I made it for blue", yellow smirked, raising her arm, making the bike float, she brought it out the home and sat it back down just outside the house, "blue you can go for a test drive if you want!", she told blue who immediately ran out of the house and got on the bike.
"You can make things float! Is that one of your powers?", Steven excitedly asked, more focused on that than the actual bike, "I can control all metal", yellow confidently replied, as blue sped off down the hill, laughing while using her new bike, "it's one of my powers no other gem has inherited yet, only me and paragon have this power of controlling over metal, its a shame, it would be of great help".
