I nodded and tried to pull away but Alan's hold was tight on me. He glared at his mother.

"Alan," I whispered. When he looked at me his eyes softened. He slowly let me go.

I walked far behind and watched them dance. I could clearly tell she was warning him even if she had a smile. Alan looked at me time and again and my heart broke a thousand times.

Now, Rekha danced with him. Her body was in front of him but his attention was on me. I took a deep breath and looked away. I felt someone's presence at the side of me.

"I would like to have a word if you don't mind," Namrata said.

Her bodyguards looked like a statues standing behind her. I quickly looked at Alan who was trying to walk towards me. Rekha was quick to press her hand on his chest stopping him. He could easily shove her off but I silently pleaded with him not to cause a scene.

"If you follow me," she said.

Her face didn't hold any emotion. She was hard to read. Mausam and Nimek opened their mouth but I followed her without saying a word. She took me to a room. It looked like an office with a large table, couch and chairs.

"Take a seat," she said gesturing me towards a chair.

I did what she asked.

She went and sat on the couch, her guards standing behind her.

"I did some research on you," she said smiling at me. "Alan says you don't have anyone but him,"

"I have an offer to you poor girl. Leave my son alone and I will hand you enough cash, find you a man with whom you can start a family like......" she paused. "My dog here," she said gesturing to the man on her left.

The man stared at me through his shades.

"Do you like her dog?" she asked without looking at him.

"Yes Sarkar," he answered.

( Sarkar - a person who is in a position of authority )

"See, he likes you. Leave my son alone. A girl like you doesn't fit with my son,"

Tears started to collect in my eyes.

"Man want a girl like you to just you know...." she played her fingers in the air. "warm the bed,"

Blood started to boil in my veins.

"What can you offer to my son?"

Love, I wanted to scream. I could offer him love, and togetherness which you, being a mother couldn't offer.

"She can offer me everything which not a single person in this world can offer," I heard an angry voice. "Not even you,"

"I don't like it when people don't knock," she scrunched her nose while smiling.

One of the men tried to walk towards Alan but she showed a finger and stopped him. Alan made a slow move towards me.

"Why are you so into this girl my boy? She can......."

"I have already told you and I don't love her just because she can offer me something. Her existence is enough for me. She can just exist beside me and I will spend the rest of my life in happiness,"

"What a cheesy line you said. I am impressed. Just tell this when you are on the street with no food. I bet then you will change your mind,"

"You will never understand love because you never got the taste of it,"
