🎶 Taylor Swift – seven 🎶
A few weeks passed by. I didn't see Niccolo again. My mind wondered about his whereabouts because deep down I was scared Alan's hands were painted with his blood. I tried meeting Lucia's mother but Alan and his guards roaming around me got me stuck in the bedroom. Since the day I put ointment on his wounds, I started to check his body for wounds every night. Thankfully there weren't any.
Today, I suddenly woke in the middle of the night. I looked at my side but he wasn't there. Where did Alan go? I tried to drink water but the bottle was empty. Cursing at myself I got out of bed and walked outside to ask the guards to bring me water but the hallway was empty. I was almost near the kitchen when I heard voices coming from nearby. It seemed like someone was in pain. I walked towards the source of the sound and found myself near the basement.
The door was ajar and I could see a half-naked man pointing a gun at a kneeling man. The man's back was on me and seeing his body I recognised it was Alan. The man kneeling in front of him in the same position as Pietro a month ago was Niccolo.
"Now, keep annoying me with the marriage?"
Marriage?
He wanted to marry Alan?
"Do you still want to marry her?" he shouted at Niccolo.
Oh
Niccolo coughed the blood when Alan punched him. He didn't seem to be in a good condition. He was a mess.
"Use your fucking tongue," Alan yelled.
"Why are you so into keeping her? She..." he groaned in pain. "You have a wife. Focus on making your business better,"
"You are not going to give it up then?" He barked. "You still want my woman? after all this torture...."
"You will never be able to touch her again. Never,"
Alan threw punches after punches while Niccolo kept telling him to accept his deal.
"Patrizia was right then Mishka is your little whore," Niccolo spat and the next thing I know is Alan putting all the bullets in his chest.
Scream left my mouth and I stood there watching Alan turn into a murderer. He murdered Niccolo in front of my eyes. Alan turned to look at me. Our gaze met. When Alan started to walk towards me I ran to the room. My body started to shake as I sat in the corner of the room hoping he wouldn't find me.
A few minutes went by and the door was opened revealing Alan. He didn't see me so he started to search for me. What if he killed me because I saw that murder? I covered my mouth with my shaking hand to muffle my sobs but it was too late. He stood in front of me. I was expecting questions but he stood there watching me. I stared at his chest unable to meet his eyes.
"P..please.. don't....I...." I couldn't speak properly.
"This is me. I am a monster," he said and left the room.
Lucia walked into me after a few minutes and pulled me towards the bed.
"He is a murderer," I whispered. "He is a monster,"
"You shouldn't have gone there," she said helping me drink water.
"Lay down,"
I laid down and looked at his side of the bed.
"He will not come back," she whispered seeing me hesitate to close my eyes.
Lucia stayed till I fell asleep but I woke up at 4 a.m. I tossed and turned but no sleep came back. I looked at the watch realising that Lucia's mother would be in the mansion right now. Alan wasn't in the room. I tiptoed out of the room towards the stairs. My heart went heavy but I dragged my feet. I was about to climb down the stairs when on the other side of the stairs I saw a woman in her 50s. Looking at her facial features I assumed it to be Lucia's mother.
