As I swayed to the rhythm of the music in Aarav's arms, my gaze involuntarily drifted towards Rohan. His eyes met mine, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still. Nidhi seemed delighted dancing with him, but even she couldn't ignore the intensity of Rohan's stare directed at me.
Lost in the trance of Rohan's gaze, I barely noticed Aarav tapping my shoulder. "Hey, Shriya, can we talk?" he said, his voice barely audible over the music.
I turned towards him, tearing my eyes away from Rohan. "Sorry, Aarav, what were you saying?"
Aarav's expression softened, understanding evident in his eyes. "It's okay. I just wanted to talk about something important."
As we moved away from the crowd, Aarav's words hung in the air, but my mind kept drifting back to Rohan. Was this the moment I had been waiting for?
