Forgetting The Painful Effort

Chapter 1

Darrick's POV

I look at the huge building which is in front of me, and I wonder what it is.

The first time that I saw something like this was a few days ago, and that was at the pack that helped me to not bleed out.

Then I saw a lot of those things when I was in their weird moving thing, I think that it's called a car or something, but I really don't care.

This building is a lot bigger than any other that I saw in the past few days, and I wonder what they have inside of it.

I can see that there are a lot of people here, so this place must be important in this pack.

I'm my former pack, we had just two caves and a river, and it definitely was enough for everyone, so I have enough idea why Devonte needs this in his pack.

"Is this your cave, or something?" I ask Henry, and he nods.

"Everyone other than the Alpha's family lives here. They have their own rooms or apartments, so they can have some privacy with their families." Henry says.

I don't understand everything that he said, but he didn't say that I'm wrong, so I'm most likely right.

"It looks weird, but it looks like it will stop the wind from all direction." I say, and he nods with a smile.

"When it's very cold, then this building makes heat for everyone, so no one has to be cold." He tells me.

I have no idea how something that looks like a weird stone can make any heat, but I didn't know that a piece of metal could move on it's own either.

So, I guess that there are a lot more of weird thing that I will find soon.

"Let's go. I have to introduce you to everyone." Devonte says, and I frown slightly, but I let him lead me somewhere.

Everyone walks ahead of me, and when I realise that no one if looking at me, I decide that I should try to run away.

I have no idea what this people want from me, and even though they're nice, they don't mean that they won't kill me, or something.

Also, all of the things that are here are weird, and I'm not sure how I feel about it, so I guess that I should try to find a rogue pack.

I shift to my wolf form, and I make sure to hide my scent with the plants that are growing around the woods, then I run straight, hoping that I will find a nice cave soon.

After running for about an hour, my leg starts to hurt a lot.

I look at it, and I quickly realise that it's bleeding, which makes me groan in annoyance.

I look at the wound, and I find a sharp rock, which is sticking out of the wound, so I take it out, and then I wait for the bleeding to stop, before I start to run again.
