Lewis' POV

A few days later, I have to sneak out of the bed in the morning, to attend the training.

But I really don't want to do this, especially because I know that Darrick will be sad when he will wake up without me next to him.

No one's awake yet, so I try to be quiet while I make a few sandwiches for myself.

I eat them quickly, before go to the closest bathroom to change into the clothes that I usually wear for the pack training.

Then I go to the training grounds, hoping that I won't be late again.

I'm sure that if I won't get there in time, then the instructors will tell Devonte about it.

And I'm not sure if the fact that I'm his son's mate will be able to save me.

I have no idea how I manage to get there late this often, because I make sure to wake up earlier than I should.

The walk to the training grounds takes about half an hour from the pack house.

And sometime that's more than enough, but sometimes I end up being more than thirty minutes late.

I walk through the woods until I hear that someone's following me, and when I look over my shoulder I can see thait's Dior.

I'm not sure if I'm more happy or annoyed that he's here, but I decide to greet him anyway.

"Hey." I say, and he greet me back right away.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him curiously, because this isn't the usually path that we walk on when we go to the training.

"I waited at you near the pack house." He tells me, and my eyes widen slightly when I realise that I forgot to tell him that I won't meet him there.

"Sorry." I say, and he nods slightly.

"I will forgive you if you will tell me why you were at the Alpha's house." He says with an annoying smirk.

"How do you know that I was there?" I ask him.

"I followed your scent, and it led me here. It was very faint until I got to the Alpha's house, but it was a lot stronger when I walked past it.

So, I'm pretty sure that you stayed in there for the night, and I want to know why." Dior says, so I roll my eyes, before I sigh tiredly.

"I'm Darrick's mate." I tell him, because there's no need for me to lie.

I was going to tell him about that soon anyway.

His eyes widen a lot, and he stops walking, but I quickly make him walk again, because I don't want to be late to the training.

"Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?" He asks me right after he gets over his shock.

"I was going to tell you, but I wasn't really alone with you since I got to know about it." I say.

"You we alone with me a few times since you met Darrick." He tells me, and I nod.

"That's true, but I didn't know that I'm his mate back then. I found out when not long ago, the same day as Darrick's birthday." I say.

Then I wait for another question, because I'm sure that there will be a lot more of them.
