Lewis' POV

I hear a gunshot, and my eyes widen a lot, but I stay quiet, same as everyone else.

I'm currently standing in front of the pack house, and I was listening to  one of Darrick's friends, while he was explaining to Wren what's going on.

Devonte is currently with Tareek, but I'm pretty sure that he will be here very soon.

"We have to help them." Wren says, and I nod in agreement.

"Let's go." I say, but Wren stops me.

"You're staying." He tells me.

"There's no way that I will stay here, while my mate could be dying right now." I say.

I can see that he wants to protest, but before he can do it, we hear another gunshot.

A lot of people are walking inside of the pack house as quickly as they can, hoping that they will be able to get to the safe room as soon as possible.

It doesn't take long before everyone who I can see is a warrior, except for Gregor who's still standing near me.

"I want half of you to stay here, while the other half will go with me." Wren says, and then he looks at Gregor, before he gestures for him to go inside.

Wren and the guards quickly shift to their wolf forms, before they start to run in the direction that the gunshots came from.

I wait until they're out of my sight, before I shift too, and I follow them.

Thankfully, the guards don't try to stop me, even though they look like they want to do it.

It doesn't take me long to reach Darrick, and I sigh in relief when I see that he's alright.

There's a lot for blood on the ground, and I can see that a dead human is laying near the pack border, but I decide to ignore him.

"Are you alright?" I ask him, and I let him hug me tightly.

"I'm fine." He says.

"Where are the rest of the guards?" I ask after a long while of silence, because I can see that some of the guards aren't here.

"They went with Wren to see if Thiago and Are are alright, because this man shoot in their direction." He explains.

I nod slightly, before I pick him up, and I start to carry him towards the pack house.

Some of the guards follow me silently, and I'm glad for that, because I'm a bit scared to walk through the woods alone now.

Darrick falls asleep before we can reach the pack house, and I'm very glad for that.

Because when we reach it, I can see that some of the guards who went with Wren are carrying a boy.

Thiago is walking behind them with the rest of the guards, and he's crying, so I guess that Are got shot.

There's a lot of blood coming out of his chest, so the bullet most likely hit him in the lung.

I just hope that he will be fine, because I know that Darrick will blame himself if his friend won't survive.
