Darrick's POV

When I wake up, it's a very early morning, and I consider if I should run before Lewis will wake up, but I decide to not do it.

We talked for at least a few hours last night, and he's a really nice man, which is very rare.

He also knows useful thing, and he was able to heat the air with the sticks, so I guess that it will be beneficial for me if I will keep him.

I shake him a bit, when I get bored of sitting in silence.

He groans a loudly, but he eventually opens his eyes, and he smiles at me.

"How are you?" He asks me, and I shrug.

"Good I guess." I say, and then I decide to tell him a plan for the day.

"I have to find a rogue pack that will want to take me in, and you can come with me if you want." I say, which makes him frown.

"Why do you want to live in a rogue pack?" He asks me curiously.

"Because I'm an Omega and I really doubt that I will be able to survive in the woods for long, if I will be alone." I say.

I know that he's not a rogue, but I really thought that he will know things like this.

"I know a rogue pack that will take us in." He tells me, and I smile.

"We will go there, but firstly we have to get something to eat." I say, but I really hope that he will be able to get the food alone.

Because I was never trained to do that, and I have no idea if I will be able to kill anything.

I will most likely be the one that will even up dead.

He sighs tiredly, before he stands up.

"Wait here. I will be back soon." He says, and then he shifts to his wolf form, before he runs into the woods.

It takes his just a few minutes to come back, and I smile widely when I see that he has a deer with him.

I shift to my wolf form too, and I start to eat it, while he looks at me with a disgusted expression.

I ignore him, and when I finish eating, I shift back to my human form.

"Why aren't you eating?" I ask him.

He shifts too, and he looks at me like I'm stupid or something.

"I don't really eat raw meat." He tells me.

"Then what do you seat instead of this. The weird things that everyone gave me in the past few days?" I ask him, and he nods.

"Those weird things are a lot better than this." He tells me, and he sounds like he's sure about that, but I know that he wrong, so I roll my eyes.

"Try it first, and then we can argue." I say, and I gesture to the deer, which is a lying a few feet away from me.
