Darrick's POV

I sit on the couch for a long while, before I decide to go to my room, because I don't really feel comfortable here.

There are usually a lot of people around this house, especially in the living room, so it's very weird when it's quiet.

I stand up, so I can go upstairs, but I quickly notice that someone is standing at the doorway of the living room.

It's a man, and I can see that he's a human, because he looks like he's about forty, and the werewolves never look this old, even if they are much older.

"Who are you?" I ask him, and he smirks at me.

"A hunter." He says, and I frown.

I have no idea what he means, but I guess that it means that he's catching animals to earn money.

"What at you doing here?" I ask with a frown.

"I have to show you something." He says.

"What?" I ask.

I have a feeling that he's not a good guy, but I guess that I shouldn't show him that I'm scared.

Because then he will think that I will run, and it definitely won't help me escape.

"Just come with me, and I will show you." He says, and I nod right away.

I have no idea why he thinks that I'm stupid, but I guess that the fact that I'm an Omega has something to do with it.

I watch him as he goes towards the door that leads to the back yard, and I follow him.

I can see that he has a knife and a gun, because both of them are attached to his belt.

I guess that I will have to take them away from him without making him notice it.

I look around, hoping that's someone will see us, and my eyes widen when I see that Thiago, Are and Gregor are standing near the front door.

It looks like they we're getting ready to knock, but now they're looking at me with a confused expression.

I gesture to them that I want them to stay quiet, and then I point at the direction of the pack house, hoping that they will realise that I need some help.

Thiago and Are stay where they were, although they're trying to hide a bit, while Gregor leaves.

I just hope that they Thiago and Are won't start to follow us, because this might get them in serious trouble.

I make sure to walk as quickly as the man is walking, hoping that the man won't turn around anytime soon.

"Where are we going?" I ask him when I'm sure that my parents' house is out of our sight.

"You will see." He says.

I roll my eyes, but I don't say anything.

The man stops walking when we're near the pack border, and it seems that something caught his attention.

So, I decide that it's a good occasion to try to steal his weapon.

I just have to take them, and get a few feet away from him, so I can shoot him properly.

It should be easy, but I know that I'm weak, and if he will manage to even just grip my arm, then I won't be able to defend myself.
