Darrick's POV

Thankfully, Devonte decided to choose a different instructor for me, and this one is a lot better.

I actually like to train with him, but I'm still very happy when he training ends, and I'm finally allowed to go back to the house.

When I get there, I can't hear anyone, not even the kids and their babysitter.

So, I decide to go to the pack house, which is less than hundred feet away from here.

I would have stayed at the house, but I'm a bit scared that the former instructor will come here to hurt me, or something.

That's because he was very angry when Devonte told him to leave, and yesterday, I saw that he was glaring at me.

I guess that his opinion mattered a lot to Devonte, and he's most likely not used to Devonte disagreeing with him.

Well, he should have listened to me when I told him that Devonte likes me a lot.

When I reach the pack house, I'm not even sure what I want to do, but I quickly notice that Tareek and Logan are here.

They seem to be arguing, so I decide to not interrupt them, even though I like to argue.

My eyes widen when I see that Logan pushes Tareek, who falls to the floor because of that.

Everyone stops talking, and they look at Logan with confused expression, while Logan's eyes widen a lot.

I can see that Henry finds him, and he tries to say something to him, but Logan doesn't listen.

Henry shakes his head, before he extends his hand to help Tareek stand up, and that's when Devonte and Wren come here with a few guards.

Both of them are glaring at Logan already, so I guess that the guards told them what happened.

I stand up, and I walk towards them, hoping that I will manage to stop Devonte from killing his eldest son.

I definitely don't want to be the eldest of my siblings, so I really hope that Logan will survive.

I didn't even notice that Lewis is standing near me, but he quickly noticed me and he sends me a concerned look.

I just smile at him a bit, and I look at Devonte, who looks like he's about to stab everyone who's currently between him and Logan.

I look at Tareek again, and now that I'm closer to him, I can see that he actually got hurt when he fell.

I can see that his hand is bleeding, and he's holding his hand over his head, so I assume that he hit it too.

"Get out of here." I say quietly to Logan, and he looks at Devonte for a few seconds, with a scared expression on his face.

He doesn't seem to like what he sees, but he nods anyway, and Henry encourages him to follow him out of the pack house.

"I'm going to kill him." Devonte says right after Logan is out of my sight.

He looks a bit calmer now, but he's still very angry.

"Take him to the doctor." Denver says to Wren.

"No. You're going with me, and Wren will find Logan to deal with him, because I don't trust you to not hurt him too much." Tareek says.
