Darrick's POV
I was living in this house for about a week now, but I guess that I will never learn how to use this weird room with water.
I already know that the small thing is a sink, and the big one is a bath, but I have no idea which soap I should use for what.
Tareek already explained it to me a lot for times, but I keep forgetting it, and I don't know what the words on it mean, so they don't help me at all.
I sigh in annoyance, then I take one of the bottles with liquid soap, and I smell it.
It smells nice, so I guess that it will be good enough.
I wash myself quickly, and then I take the towel to dry myself.
When I'm done, I go to the sink, and I take one of the toothbrushes that are standing on the shelf which is hanging on the wall.
I already know that I should use a toothpaste to wash my teeth, so I make sure to wash them with it, instead of using the soap like I did before.
The taste isn't the best, but it's definitely better than the soap was.
A few minutes later, I'm ready to go downstairs, so I decide to do that, although I'm not happy at all to have all of the clothes on me.
I can see that Devonte, Wren and Tareek are sitting on the couch alone, so I guess they the kids aren't up yet, which it great, because I really don't like them.
They're nice to me most of the time, and if they aren't, then one of their parents scolds them for that right away, so that it isn't a problem.
But they're very loud, and they have a lot for energy, so my head hurts after less than five minutes of being near them.
"Why are you letting me stay here?" I ask them, and I decide to stay at the doorway, instead of sitting next to them.
"What do you mean?" Wren asks me.
"Why do you make me stay here, instead of making me stay at the pack house?" I ask them.
"Because your new here, and we want to make sure that you will be comfortable." Tareek explains, but I already know that it's not the truth, at least not entirely.
I know that two of the kids from my former pack are staying here too, and they're at the pack house right now, same as the son of my former Alpha, who for some reason is here too.
"Why are't Enrique, Ashton and Rodney here?" I ask them, because I don't want to just tell him that I know that it's a lie.
They look at each other, before Devonte sighs tiredly, and he gestures for me to sit on the couch.
I don't really want to do anything that he wants me to do, but I want to know have answer to my question, so I decide to sit on the couch which is in front of them.
