Lewis' POV
I carry Darrick into the hospital room, and I decide to leave him, so I can check if everyone is alright, but before I can leave, he wakes up.
"Where are you going?" He asks me curiously.
"I was going to see if everyone is fine." I say, and he nods before he stands up and he comes toward me.
"I'm going too." He says.
When I walk out of the room, I can see that Thiago and Gregor are waiting here.
"Did the doctor tell you anything about Are?" I ask them, and Thiago shakes his head.
"He didn't say anything, but he took Are to the operation room, so I guess that he's not doing very well." He says.
"There was so much blood." Gregor tells me after a few seconds of silence.
I sit next to him, and I put my hand on his back, hoping that he will stop crying.
"I'm sure that they will be fine." I say, and he nods slightly, before he looks at Darrick.
"How are you?" Gregor asks him.
"I'm alright. I didn't get hurt." Darrick says.
"What exactly happened." I ask Darrick.
"I wanted to go upstairs after you left, but then I saw that man, and he didn't say much, just that he's a hunter and that he wants to show me something.
I don't want to go with him, but I knew that he would have caught me if I tried to run, so I decided to pretend that I'm stupid, and I followed him.
Thiago, Are and Gregor were standing near the front door of my parents' house when I noticed them, and I showed then that I need help.
I guess that Thiago and Are followed me, and that human heard them right before we reached the pack border.
I tied to take his gun and knife out of this pocket, but he took his gun before I could do it, and he shoot into the woods.
Then he tried to put his gun back into his pocket, but I managed to take it for his hand, and I shot him." Darrick explains, talking as quickly as he can.
"You did well." I tell him, but it seems that he doesn't think like that.
"I'm going to see if Tareek is fine." I say, and then I walk towards the room which smells like Tareek.
I knock on the door, and it doesn't take long before Wren opens the door for me.
"How is he?" I ask him, and he sighs tiredly.
"He's fine." He tells me.
"Did the doctor manage to do the surgery?" I ask him curiously.
I most likely wouldn't have asked about it, but I was helping them go through their plan, so I guess that I deserve to know how it ended.
"Well, the doctor started the surgery, but he only managed to cut Tareek's skin, before Devonte interrupted him." Wren says, and I sigh in annoyance.
"Is he angry?" I ask him, and Wren shrugs.
"Is Devonte ever not angry?" He asks me.
I chuckle slightly, and Wren does the same, although I can see that neither of us is really amused.
"I should go." I say, and he nods, before he watches as I go back to my mate, who's talking with Thiago and Gregor in the same spot that I left them.
