Lewis' POV

Darrick and I are currently sitting in my room, because I don't have to work today, and he wanted to hang out with me.

I guess that I'm a bad friend, because I cancelled my plans with Dior to spend some time with my mate, again.

I guess that I will have to tell him what's going on, but I'm a bit scared that he won't be happy about it, so I decided to not say anything for now.

"I think that you're going to get your heat soon." I say, when I notice that his scent is starting to change.

I take my phone, so I can text one of his fathers, because if I'm right, then he really shouldn't be at the pack house right now.

"I like heats." Darrick tells me, and I frown.

I'm pretty sure that I know what he means, but I don't really want him to confirm it, so I don't ask.

I know that he grew up with rogues, and I also know the effects of heat.

So, it's not hard to guess that he had to sleep it a lot for rogues when he was in his heat.

I force myself to not think about it, and I text Wren to tell him what's going on.

He gave me his number not long again, and I also have Devonte's number, same as everyone else in the pack.

But I decided to text Wren because he doesn't scare me as much as Devonte.

"Your father will come here to take you back to your house." I tell him, and he frowns at me.

"Why?" He asks me.

"Because you can't stay here when you're in heat." I tell him, but I can see that he still doesn't get it.

"It's dangerous, because everyone will want to sleep with you if, and people in this pack usually want to sleep just with their mate.

So, you shouldn't force them to sleep with you." I explain, and he nods a bit.

I'm sure that he doesn't really get that living in the pack is a lot different than living in the woods with the rogues.

So, I force myself to not be annoyed with him.

It's not his fault that he has to grow up with the rogues, and I'm sure that being here is hard for him.

I don't want to stress him even more by being angry at him.

It doesn't take long for Wren to come here, and I'm glad that he's already here, because I can already feel that the heat is starting to affect me.

"Come on, Darrick." Wren says, and he gestures for his son to follow him outside of my room.

Darrick stands up reluctantly, but he stays next to my bed.

"Where are we going?" Darrick asks.

"We have to go to the pack hospital, so the doctor can give you some medicine that will hide the scent of your heat for now.

And then we will go back to our house." Wren says.

"Can Lewis come with us?" Darrick asks hopefully.

"He can go with us to the pack hospital, but I'm not sure if Devonte will allow him to stay with us.

So, you most likely won't be able to see him for about a week." Wren says, and Darrick sight in annoyance, but he nods anyway.

I stand up, and I put my hand on Darrick's back to make him walk with me.
