See, now we have a dilemma.

We could get out of the dungeon through the door leading through the castle but we'll probably get caught by all the guards. People will probably be following us from the other door, which means neither option is good.

I need to act quickly.

Coming up with a 3rd option it is.

I summon a crashing force of waves that breaks the stone wall.

It soaks us in the process, but we have our 3rd exit.

"That's so cool." Lilah comments.

I take her hand and we run through the wall.

We're hidden behind the house so nobody chases us as we run away but when I look back at the hole I created in the wall I see an army of guards and it encourages me to run faster.

We make it to the border which is basically a magic teleporter between our realms and we walk through. It transports us back to Lavenem. We locate our nearby horses.

I'm so glad Lilah knows how to ride a horse and that I was taught at a young age.

Once we return to our castle, we dismount our horses and somebody takes them back to the stables for us.

"Have you seen Nikolai with my parents?" I ask one of the guards.

One of the two of them nods.

"Where are they?" I ask.

"They went inside the palace, your majesty." One replies.

I nod in response. "You remember my orders about not letting anyone other than family in the palace?" I question.

"Yes, your highness."

"That includes Prince William of Gyopl. Even if he claims to be my husband, which he is not." I just want to set the record straight, I can imagine news of that would get out pretty quickly.

Lilah and I quickly walk up the front steps leading up to the palace.

"Niko." I shout. "Niko, you here?"

I see his raven black hair when he first peers his head out the door before fully emerging.

"Hi there." He says with a heart-warming smile that could melt my heart a thousand times over.

God, I love him so much.

Today has been a whirlwind of emotions but my love for Nikolai Rosenheim has been the most prominent of all.

I want to marry this man someday.

"Did you-" I begin to ask.

"Yeah." He responds, already knowing what my question was going to entail. "They're in there." He says with a motion of his head in the direction of the room he'd just come out of.
