guys sorry in advanced this ones pretty sad. this is basically part 2 of what's happening. you can prob put together what will happen in this one...

"mom?" i asked.

"yeah baby?" she said as her voice cracked.

"what if she's not okay. i don't want grandma to die" i said.

"shhh it's okay. all we can do is pray. alright?" mom said. i can tell she was trying to stay strong for me.

"alright i have to go guys.." mom said as she got up.

"do you want us to drive you tay?" dad asked. mom nodded.

"y/n why don't you change, okay?" dad said. i nodded and got ready.

taylors pov

i got off of y/ns bed and walked to travis and i's room. i plopped down on the bed and just stared. at the ceiling.

"hey it's okay baby. we're here for you alright?" trav said as he sat next to me. i nodded and a single tear fell from my eye. trav wiped it and gave me a kiss.

y/n walked in the doorway and we got up and headed to the car. we shortly got to the airport and i said my goodbyes and boarded the jet.

time skip to nashville

as soon as i landed i made sure there was a car there at the tarmac so i could get to the hospital asap.

once i got to the hospital i was lead to my moms room and i saw her hooked up to many things and sleeping. dad was holding mom's hand and austin was sitting in a chair in the corner with a blank stare. i walked into the room and they turned to look at me. austin stood up and gave me a hug. i started to cry.

"it's okay teffy" he said into my ear. i shook my head against his chest. he hugged me until i calmed down. even though he's my younger brother, he still looks out for me and protects me and i'm so thankful for that.

i go over to dad next and he engulfs me in a hug. he then got up so i could sit next to mom. i held her hand and just stared at her.

"so what's the story" i said as i broke the silence.

"well..." austin started. "the brain tumor that was discovered last time she had chemo is back but it's more aggressive this time. and... uh..." austin said as he tried not to cry. then i felt mom squeeze my hand and i looked over at her and she was awake.

"hey mom sorry we woke you" i said with a small smile.

"no no it's okay" she said with a groggy voice.

"i love you so much mom" i said.

"i love you too honey" she said with a small smile.

"um taylor..." austin said.

"yeah?" i said.

"there's one more thing i have to tell you.." he said. i looked at him, then dad, then mom. they all had the same look on their face.

"what? what's going on?" i said.

"they put mom on hospice..." austin said. i felt like my whole world just crashed down.

"w-what do you mean? why?" i asked holding back tears.

"the cancer... it's too aggressive. even chemo won't help. all we have to do is wait for it to run its course.." austin said.

"n-no no you're lying. say you're lying right now!" i said as i let my tears fall and looked around at all of them.

"taylor, honey, it's okay." mom said.
