ava age (little sister): 4

today me and ava were going with mommy to the studio because daddy had to go to practice today.

"y/n? you almost ready baby?" mom asked and she peaked into my room.

"yeah. can i bring my ipad?" i asked.

"yeah i don't mind. but if you bring it your sister might be all over it." she said.

"that's fine." i said. she nodded and left the doorway to go check on y/n.

i put my ipad into my bag along with my charger and headphones. then i headed out of my room.

"alright girls you ready to go?" mom said.

"y/n did you get snacks for you and your sister?" mom asked.

"yeah i did." i said.

"okay then let's go. we don't wanna be late." she said.

"mommy i don't wanna go!" ava whined.

"ava. we don't have time to do this right now." mom said.

"i'm not going!" she yelled. ava decided not to sleep during her nap and now she was cranky.

"drew can you take y/n down to the car while i deal with ava?" mom asked our security guard.

"yeah of course." he said.

i love drew. he's my favorite security guard. some of the other ones look to scary but drew only looks scary when he needs to be.

"alright let's go miss y/n" he said and i grabbed hold of his hand and we walked towards the car.

"drew?" i said looking up at him as we reached the car.

"yeah?" he said opening the door for me.

"do you think mommy loves me?" i asked.

"of course she does. why do you think she wouldn't?" he asked.

"i dunno. i feel like ava gets special treatment sometimes. if i would've screamed or yelled back at mom i would've gotten in a lot of trouble." i said.

"yeah it can be a little hard being the older sibling but i promise you your mom loves you so much. ava is just younger than you and she doesn't fully understand yet." he explained.

i nodded my head and buckled my seatbelt. a couple minutes later ava and mom arrived at the car and they got in. when mom got in she let out a sigh.

"are you okay mommy?" i asked.

"yeah i'm okay just a little stressed." she said.

"i'm sorry" i said as i gave her a hug.

"thank you for the hug baby but you didn't do anything wrong." she said with a smile.

"just to make you feel better" i said smiling up at her.

"awe you're such a sweet girl. thank you" she said kissing my head.

when we arrived at the studio we said hi to uncle jack and he gave us some money and i was really happy about that.

"yes!!! $20!! mommy do you see this??" i said excitedly.

"yes i do! what do you say?" she said.

"thank you uncle jack!!" i said hugging him.

"you're welcome bug!" he said hugging me back.

"ava. what do you say?" mom asked.

"nothing." she said crossing her arms and mom let out a sigh.

"it's okay tay. let's just get started" jack said. mommy nodded and headed into the booth. i watched for a little then i pulled out my ipad to play some games.

"i wanna play too!" ava said.

"but ava you have your own ipad" i said.

"but i like your ipad better!" she said.

"i can download some of the games i have on mine onto your ipad" i said.

"no! i want yours!" she said snatching it.

"hey! give it back!" i said. then uncle jack looked back at us two.

"ava...did you take your sisters ipad?" he asked.

"no! my ipad" she said getting angry.

"ave your ipad is right here" he said.

"i don't like it! i want sissy's!" she said angrily.

"but i want my ipad..." i said. ava looked at me then got so mad that she threw my ipad and the screen shattered.

"my...my ipad." i said. mommy saw the whole interaction and came storming out the booth.

"AVA GRACE KELCE! GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!" mom said walking over to ava and pulling her into the soundproof room.

"hey it's okay y/n. i'll get you a new one! any color and case you want as well" uncle jack said.

"really?" i said wiping my tears. he nodded.

"but for now, here's my phone. download whatever you want okay?" he said.

"thank you uncle jack" i said while giving him a hug.

"of course" he said. soon enough mommy and ava walked out the room and ava was placed in the corner for time out.

"bug can you come here please?" she asked softly. i placed down uncle jacks phone and walked over to mommy and we went inside the soundproof booth.

"am i in trouble?" i asked.

"no you're not in trouble bug! i just wanted to make sure you're okay?" she asked. i nodded. "can you tell me what happened?" she asked.

"well i pulled out my ipad to play games on and ave said that she wanted to play too. i told her that she had her own ipad but she said that she wanted mine because she liked the games better. i offered to download some of the games i had onto her ipad but instead she snatched my ipad. that's when uncle jack told ava to give me my ipad back but then she got mad and threw it. now my ipad is ruined" i said putting my head down.

"come here bug" mommy said opening her arms. "i'm so sorry that happened. we'll get you a new one okay? your sister is in timeout. but how about you choose what we get for lunch today?" she asked and i nodded.

"also uncle jack said he'd buy me a new ipad" i said with as smile. "any color and case i want"

"oh did he now?!" she said with a big smile. i nodded my head. "wow that sounds amazing! i guess you'll have to start looking for some then huh?" she said. i nodded.

then we walked out the room and ava was still crying in timeout.

"alright y/n where do you want to get food from?" mommy asked.

"can we get chick fil a?" i asked.

"jack is that okay with you?" mommy asked.

"yep! fine with me!" he said.
