it was my first day at a real school and i was so nervous. i had never been to a real school because of my parents jobs and they didn't wanna risk anything. i begged them for a solid 5 months before they agreed on letting me go to a real school. they found this private school that they thought was good enough so they enrolled me.

so i out my uniform on and decided to leave my hair curly today.

"morning baby!" mom said.

"morning mom" i said hugging her.

"you excited?" dad asked. i nodded eagerly.

"aww i'm gonna miss being your teacher" mom said hugging me tightly.

"i know but i'm really grateful you let me go to school" i said.

after we talked a little and i ate my breakfast they drove me to school. well drew our security guard/driver did.

"bye mom! bye dad! bye drew!" i said getting out of the car. as soon as i stepped out there were a lot of gasps. mom gave me a look of terror but i reassured her i'd be fine with a smile.

i made my way into the school and went to my locker. a girl with long brown hair and green eyes approached me. she was so pretty. i have never seen a girl as beautiful as her.

"hey! are you new?" she asked.

"yeah i am" i said with a smile.

"my name is maddie!"

"my name is y/n" i said with a smile.

"oh come on i know who you are!" she said with a giggle. her giggle was so cute. "anyway! do you know where your home room is?" she asked.

"uhh not really. i honestly don't know where any of my classes are" i said with a nervous laugh.

"oh that's okay! i can help you! lemme see your schedule" she said. i handed her my schedule.

"omg we have like all the same classes! it's like we were meant to be" she said. i just smiled at her.

"let's go to home room and we can talk more" she said. she grabbed my hand and led me to our room.

"hey mr. mitchell! this is y/n and she's new here" she said. he stood up with a smile.

"oh yes! nice to meet you! i'm a huge fan of your dad by the way" he said. i gave him a smile.

"so maddie...are you willing to help her find her way around?" he asked.

"oh absolutely!" she said. he nodded with a smile and we went to go sit down.

"so. tell me a little about you" she said.

"well this is my first time at a school ever. uhhh i honestly don't really know anything else about me. i'm not really able to do normal people things" i said.

"that's okay! can i give you my number? maybe we could hang out sometime!" she said. i nodded and gave her my number.

fast forward two weeks later and we have been inseparable ever since. we text 24/7 and tell each other everything. i learned that she is bi like me. sometimes i feel like she flirts but maybe im just being delusional.

right now we are in a parking lot that's empty and we are watching the sunset together.

"the sunset is so pretty" i commented.
