kinda interpreted this a little differently. it's about girls in y/n's grade having on their "wish list" that they had a life like y/n. but y/n's life isn't just glitter and rainbows. taylor is not her mom in this, travis is her dad and kayla is her mom so she is mixed.

y/n age: 13

"oh my gosh guys we need to do something this weekend! we haven't hung out together in so longggg" my friend maddie said.

"omg yes! should we do it this weekend?" avery asked. everyone said yes except me.

"y/n? can you hang out this weekend?" chloe asked.

"no i'm sorry guys. i can't..." i said.

"nooooo why??" maddie asked.

"oh i'm going to philly this weekend. the chiefs play the eagles, but i'm also going to go see my family" i explained.

"ughhh you're so lucky! i swear you like go somewhere like every weekend. lowkey wish i had money like that" avery said.

"it's not all that nice trust." i said.

"y/n you can literally afford everything you want..." chloe said. i just shrugged.

the rest of the day went on and soon enough i was walking out the school with my friends.

"y/n are you going to the football game tonight? we were thinking about all meeting up" maddie said.

"oh maybe. i'll have to ask my dad and taylor first." i said.

"alright! wait who's that?" chloe asked as she was pointing behind me. i turned around and saw one of taylor's security guards that was assigned to me waiting outside by the car.

"oh yeah. sorry i forgot to mention that." i trailed off.

"who is it?" avery asked.

"...it's my security guard..." i mumbled.

"wait wait wait. you mean to tell me you have you're own personal security guard??" maddie asked.

"yeah sorry. i know it's weird but..." i said.

"no no no it's not weird. i wish i had a body guard" avery said and the other two agreed. i laughed awkwardly.

"well i gotta go. i'll let you guys know if i can go to the game tonight." i said as i waved bye to my friends.

"hey y/n how was school?" the guard asked.

"it was good" i said. it wasn't the truth but it also wasn't a lie.

when i arrived home the house was empty. i let out a sigh and walked up to my room to set my backpack down and to change into more comfortable clothes. after i was changed i made my way downstairs to the kitchen and that's when i saw the note on the fridge. i knew my dad wouldn't be here cause he had left sometime during the day to head to philly, but taylor was supposed to be home.

hey y/n. i won't be home until late tonight.
i had to fly to Nashville for an emergency meeting that i couldn't call into. If you
want to do anything tonight with your friends
that's fine just make sure you bring a guard along. A lot of stuff has been going on in the media regarding your Dad and I. So just take one to be safe. I will be home by tomorrow morning before you wake up. Then, we will fly out sometime in the afternoon tomorrow. Also make sure you call your Dad.

I love you so so so so much y/n,
Love, Tay <3

i let out a sigh after i read the note. i didn't really feel like going out tonight. i really just wanted to sit around with taylor and talk about my day but it was fine i guess. i let my friends know i wasn't going to be able to go to the game tonight and then i just got comfortable on the couch with the cats while i turned on a movie. i wasn't aware of the media that taylor was talking about so i decided to go look at it. it was talking about how spoiled i am. wow. i'm really not though. i have to show that i deserve what i get, i don't just get it handed to me. that's why it annoys me so much when people say they wish they had my life. in all honesty i feel like my life is more hectic and stressful than theirs. as i was watching tv i got a call from my dad
