y/n age: 16

i was sitting at lunch with my friends and we were talking about pretty much anything.

"oh! ella thompson is having a party tonight, we should all go" my friend kenzie said.

"ooooooo we shouldddd" my friend lilly said.

"i wanna go i just have to ask my parents first" i said.

"y/n you know if you ask your parents they're gonna say no. it happens every time" my friend sam said.

"i know...but maybe they'll say yes??" i said. they all looked at me like i had five heads.

"ok ok ok...ill ask them and see what they say. if they say yes good, if they say no ill just sneak out. i'm tired of them controlling me all the time." i said.

"woah...where'd this y/n come from??" my friend alyssa said jokingly.

"she's in her rebellious teen years" kenzie said.

"ha ha very funny. do you want me to go to this party or not?" i said giggling.

when i got home i went straight up to my room to set my stuff down. my parents wouldn't be home for about another hour or so. i decided that i would do all my chores and straighten up my room. maybe if i had all my chores and homework done they would say yes. plus it's a friday night! it's not like i have school tomorrow...

as soon as i finished my homework i heard the front door opening signaling that one of my parents were home. i checked life360 and they both were home now actually.

i made my way downstairs.

"hey girly how was school?" dad said as he gave me a hug and a kiss on my head.

"it was good" i said as i let go to hug my mom.

"so um..." i started and both my parents turned their attention to me. "there's this party tonight and..." i said

"you wanted to ask if you could go?" dad said. i nodded. he looked over at mom and they shared a look that i knew all too well.

"i don't know y/n..." mom said.

"please? it's just gonna be people from school! plus all my friends are going" i said.

"y/n. we don't know if it's safe..." dad said.

"guys please! i never get to go to these..." i said.

"no y/n. that's the final answer." dad said.

"you guys are so unfair!" i whined. "this is so stupid! nothing is going to happen!! it's not like i'm going to some club in new york with a bunch of strangers!! it's people in my grade at a girls house that goes to MY school" i said frustratedly.

"y/n end of the conversation." dad said calmly.

"you guys never let me do anything! this isn't fair!" i whined.

"y/n if you keep asking you're definitely not going to go." mom said.

"i hate you guys" i muttered under my breath as i walked away. "this is so fucking stupid" i muttered again

"excuse me young lady what did you just say?" mom said.

"nothing." i said.

"that's what i thought" mom said.

i went up to my room and slammed my door shut. i hated this!! i was a junior in high school and my parents are still making my decisions for me! like let me live...i've been stuck in a protected life my whole life. i never get to do the things normal people do. sometimes i feel like an alien. i have no shared experiences with anyone at my school. as i was trying to hold my anger in i heard my phone buzz. it was my friend asking what my parents said. i told them the deal and they said they would come to my house and come get me. the only problem is that one it's gated so i would have to somehow sneak past the security guards and my friends would be waiting around the corner. i also had to leave my phone at home due to my life360. my parents had came and went into my room to say goodnight but i was still mad at them so i stayed dry. after an hour or so, it was time to initiate the plan
