"For you," he breathed.

"What?" I asked. I felt so shaken I wanted to fall into his arms. I didn't though. I grabbed his arm and I ran. I hated this place and all the things I'd done here. Now that is found Regulus, we were getting the hell out.

Emotions flew through me as fast as my feet raced. Anger, worry, fear, confusion and more, making me a blubbering mess by the time we broke out of the trees.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I demanded. For one of the first times since I'd brought him back, I felt completely justified in my anger. Perhaps I didn't deserve to feel justified, but I did.

"Listen to me y/n," Regulus tried.

"No, you listen to me. You just left with no fucking explanation. I always wanted you to be able to leave if you wanted, but I thought you'd tell me where you were going. You know how I feel and what I think and-"

"Can I have a second to speak?" He growled.

"No," I sobbed. I hated that the frustration was making me cry.

"You could have walked out. I would have let you. I just hoped you didn't hate me so much you would just leave me. I could have helped you do whatever the hell it was you were trying to do. Then I heard about something in the forest and I knew. I just didn't believe you'd be SO stupid," I finished my rant and panted.

"Who was stupid enough to try to raise the dead," he mumbled. My mouth fell open in shock. I shook my head and began to stalk towards the castle.

"Y/n, I didn't mean it like that," he groaned and tried to follow me.

"No, no, go live your wild life in the forest," I shook him off.

"I want to talk," he cried.

I then had an idea. I smirked as I realised the perfect way to show him I didn't want to speak to him. I headed towards the Black Lake. I was wading into the water, knowing full well Regulus Black couldn't swim. I dove under, swimming as far as I could before my breath gave out.

"Haha, come and try to talk to me now," I gloated.

I didn't see him. My eye sight wasn't that poor. I could see the shore just fine. He wasn't there.

"Regulus?" I called. I looked around me, spinning in the water.

"Reg?" I tried, knowing that annoyed him. There was no answer. Literal crickets chirped when I called again. Then something grabbed my ankle.

I was dragged under the water. I was spluttering in surprise. I sucked in some water. I felt a stinging sensation on my caught ankle. I was trying to fight back, but I barely had enough strength to grab my wand. I had been attacked, I was exhausted, I'd barely had any food, and I had expanded a lot of emotion. I felt weak and I was nearly ready to just give in.

Suddenly, a bright light shone through the water. The pain in my ankle stopped. I felt strong arms around me.

Regulus wasn't looking at me. He looked fearsome, like a water deity. He was blasting spells at whatever had tried to take me. Now he was making his way up to the surface. We gasped for air as we broke upwards. He didn't stop though. He kicked his long legs until he was dragging my nearly dead weight to the shore.

"Why," I coughed. "What the-"

"Really nice y/n," he snapped. "Going where you know I have trauma. Do you know all the dangerous creatures that are in there?"

I remembered his fearsome face. That look would now replace the pallid and defeated one I'd seen in that horrid lake of bodies. Though my mind was racing and I was still choking a bit, only one question blurted out.

"You can swim?" I panted.

"What?" He asked in utter confusion.

"Didn't you die because-"

"I died because bloody inferi were wrestling me into the water after I'd been considerably weakened by a horrible potion, not because I couldn't fucking swim," he shouted.

We stared at one another for a moment of silence. I began to cackle. All the emotions I felt bubbled to the top and came out as laughter. I couldn't stop and my compromised lungs made it hard to breathe.

"What in Merlin's name?" He asked.

"Everyone," I said, mopping tears away from my face. "Thought you couldn't swim. All this time."

"They did?" He asked as I wheezed and held my stomach.

"Yes," I gasped. Then suddenly, Regulus was laughing too. We were both sipping wet and emotional as hell and falling over one another with giggles. The stars seemed to spin above us as we laughed.

"I can swim," he finally managed to get out.

"I'm glad, or I'd have died too," I said and suddenly we calmed. He rolled onto his side and hovered over me.

"Y/n the only reason I went into the forest was-"

"Ackkkk," I made a horrible sound. It felt like something was restraining my neck. I felt as though I was being compressed to the ground. All I saw were the piercing grey eyes of regulus looked horrified.

"Y/n, y/n!" He said in alarm.
