Family Ring

Info - promise of forever

I nuzzled into my boyfriend. I was so happy. He'd set up fluffy blankets and pillows on the top of the astronomy tower so we could star gaze. However, all I wanted to look at was him, he was my personal star.

"We've been dating two years," he said slowly.

"Best two years of my life," I said, kissing his neck. I felt him smile, and move to kiss me.

"Same here, but do you ever think of outside Hogwarts? Graduation is coming up," he said, caressing my face.

"I want forever with you, whatever that looks like," I said honestly.

"Princess, it'll be different out in the real world," he reminded me.

"I don't care, I want you, you, you, all of you and everything you are Regulus Black," I sighed happily.

"I know we're too young for a proposal, but I want you to have this," he took out a ring.

"This is yours, this is your family ring," I said in confusion.

"You're my family. I want you to have it, it's a promise that even after we leave Hogwarts, you're it for me. It's a promise that I'm yours forever," he said earnestly. I'd never seen him look so intense. I took the ring and put it on my finger.

"It's perfect, thank you Reg," I said, and pulled him in for a slow, passionate kiss.

"I absolutely adore you," he said under his breath.
