"No, no, this can't be happening," I moaned as another contraction ripped through me. I'd had a plan, a fool proof plan, but it had hinged upon my birth being on time. I was weeks early and I was terrified.

"Regulus, please come here!" I begged weakly. He'd seen my water break and it'd triggered a major freak out.

"IT HURTS! Their fingers!" He screamed. He was cantering around like a wounded animal.

"Regulus, call your brother," I pleaded through tears. I felt like I couldn't even sit still. I had to take off my pants. I was horrified to see the curly hair of our baby peeking out of me.

"Regulus," I called.

"Shut up! I need to focus. I need to save everyone. Y/n! This is for her," he was tearing at his skin and it was bleeding. The pain was excruciating. I felt my vision blur for a moment.

"Regulus," I choked out. "I've done everything for you this past year, and I didn't mind it. Regulus, I need you now. I need you this one time baby. Your y/n needs you because I can barely breath this hurts so much."

To my utter shock, Regulus's eyes cleared. He was racing to the cabinet. He came back with a pain relief potion and I choked down the thick pink liquid.

"Regulus," I sobbed. He pulled me into his lap.

"Shh, I'm here, I'm here for you. There's no time for Saint Mungos. You need to push baby, push my love."

"You came back," I sniffed.

"Of course lovely, of course my absolutely perfect girl," he said and held my hand as I pushed. I heard a wild cry.

"Our baby," I wept. Regulus picked up the bloody babe and the smile on his face was so beautiful I could've fainted dead away.

"It's a girl, did you tell me that? I can't remember," he asked me.

"I didn't, I wanted a surprise," I said, wiping sweat out of my eyes. He handed me the baby. She had her daddy's eyes.

"Leigh," he said. "I want to name her Leigh."

"Why?" I asked, as he cradled me and I cradled the baby.

"It means healer and I think this healed my mind. I don't feel the looming darkness anymore. I am here for you and for Leigh."

He was right in the end. He never delved into the same madness he'd experienced before. Saint Mungos said it was a Miracle, which was what we named our second daughter. Regulus lived a long healthy and happy life.
