When training was done for the day I showered quickly in the dorm bathroom. Then changed into leggings and a tank top, placing my feet into comfortable running shoes. My ear buds playing movie soundtracks in my ears, and I walked through the main room.
Kat and Shoto were sitting on the couch, playing Mario cart with Denki and Kirishima. They were really into it as I walked up behind them, kissing the tops of their heads.
"I'm going for a run, but I'm staying on campus," I informed them, and they didn't even look up. Knowing that losing focus would cause them to lose their placings in the race.
"Alright Flower Power we'll try not to miss you too much," Kat replied as he threw a shell behind him, hitting Denki who was about to pass him into first.
Poor Kiri seemed to be neck and neck with Shoto for third but Denki getting hit, caused Kiri to smash into him. Allowing Shoto to pass into second as he floored after Kat, who was playing as Yoshi. Shoto was Mario, Denki was Toad and Kiri was Boo.
"Have fun," the other three shouted as they tried getting back to their previous places. I giggled ruffling the hair of all four of them before heading out of the dorm. Making my way into the slightly wooded area around the dorms, there was a trail there. And it was very peaceful.
It was calming to be around nature, and it made me miss camp slightly. It was sad that we couldn't go back, but it wouldn't be wise after everything. Since the league knows where it is, they'd likely go after us again.
A figure walking towards me caused me to stop in my tracks. He was right there, on campus. How did he get here? So many things raced through my mind, as my eyes took in the clear sight of blood dripping from his body. He stumbled before falling into his knees, he reached forward as his torso collided with the dirt.
So many questions ran through my mind as I ran forward, some traces of fear in my body. Unlike the last time we were around eachother.
"Touya?" I called out as more of a question, falling to my knees as I flipped him onto his back. Hands running over his body, checking for damage. Other than the visible gashes in his arm, but panic struck when I didn't pick up a heartbeat.
"No, Touya please you can't give up. Think of how heartbroken your siblings will be if you die. Think of Yumi, Nat and Sho, this will crush them," I state not stopping the tears that fell from my eyes. Taking in the sight of my once older brother figure lying there lifeless.
My hands began glowing pink, which never happened before. It was blue for healing, and purple for sifting through people's minds as a way to heal mental traumas.
It shone brighter and it didn't take long as it radiated through my whole body as my hands rested on his chest. Right above the heart, and I watched in shock, as the burnt parts of skin below his eyes became new healthy skin. Along with the gashes on his arms.
Making him look younger, and his dyed hair was creeping back to white. Until his whole head of hair was his natural colour, since Shoto was the only one to really have their father's hair, well at least half. Fuyumi only had a few streaks of it, but other than that they all had white hair.
The tears were still flowing, but I was mainly feeling shock now. I've never been able to do something like this, it was always minor things. Like when I first discovered I had this quirk, when I cradled Shoto's bruised face and it healed. Only fixed minor broken bones, or little cuts.
Suddenly his eyes flung open, his lungs filling with air as he gasped for breath. I sobbed in relief as I cradled his head, pulling it into my chest as I stroked his hair.
"Why did you do that?" He finally asked once regaining a bit more consciousness. He coughed sitting up, shuffling away from me in shame.
"Your heart stopped what was I supposed to do, leave you out here for Shoto to find?" I stated calmly and I noticed that I was still glowing pink.
"Things would've been better off if I were dead," he replied glancing down at his hands, almost like he felt guilty of something.
"Don't you ever say that Touya!" I say my voice picking up slightly, a bit of anger now creeping in with the tenderness. I crawled over to him, gently taking his hands "Villain or not you are like my older brother. If your siblings haven't given up on you, then neither will I. And I'll be damned if I let you give up on yourself,"
"I helped kidnap you and your boyfriend. I looked Shoto in the eyes as I took two of the people he loves dearly from him. I'm not worth saving Andrea, it's too late for me. There's nothing left of me to redeem. This is all I've got left," he sighed but didn't pull away from me this time.
"If there's still a sliver of a decent person left in there, then of course you're worth saving. Anyone can be redeemed so long as they accept help from those who matter," I assured him, pulling his face into my hands, my thumbs brushing over the glowing healthy skin just under his eyes. The rest of his face and body were still the same, but that little part I was able to heal.
"I didn't know you still cared. Or that you could revive someone like that," he admits with a small smile. Making me believe even more that there was still hope for him.
"I didn't know I could either, and I never stopped caring. Nor will I ever stop caring," I replied as I pressed my lips to his cheek, providing comfort like how I did for Lycan when he was upset.
"You always did see the best in people," he replies leaning into my touch, savoring the small bit of human contact that he no doubt missed. He definitely didn't get that with the league.
"As I've said when kidnapped villains and heroes aren't that different, it's just our actions that define us. No matter what side you're on, we've all got traumas and terrors that plague us. Some just act out because of them," I tell him, letting out a heavy sigh.
"Don't think this changes anything, I've got to leave before I get caught here," he states pulling from my grasp, slowly getting up and walking away. Leaving me with a pang in my chest, as he once again slipped away.
Part of me prayed there was still hope left for him. Even if he didn't want to see it himself......
