It didn't take long for the memory to fade and it was just the four of us sitting in silence. Not sure how to proceed with the rest of the conversation.
"Dray has done many admirable things in the time I've known her, however in that moment when we were taken. I couldn't have been a prouder boyfriend. It was fun watching her rile those damn extras up," Kat voiced, breaking the silence after a few more tedious minutes.
"Hold up? Boyfriend?" Mom says catching that word over everything else, of course she would. Well here we go then, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
"Suprise! Kat and I are dating eachother and Shoto," I state trying to dig myself out of this hole.
"All of you?!" She says looking us over, taking in the sight of our still linked hands. A bright smile formed on her face, she seemed to be buzzing like a schoolgirl who found out their crush liked them back.
"That's what I said mom," I chuckled at her reaction, of course I already knew it would be an accepting one.
"I mean, well I kind of suspected it but to hear it confirmed. This is great! My baby is growing up," she clapped her hands together then went to take the cookies out of the oven.
"Seems like everyone was aware of our feelings towards eachother apart from us," Shoto laughed "Thanks for the support though Aunty Andy," he adds giving her a small smile.
"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you Kat's parents also have given their blessings. Guess they already knew, since when we got back from being taken they weren't phased by it," I tell Shoto with a smile.
"Wait I'm the last to know!" Mom stated with a flabbergasted look which made me laugh.
"Nah you think we told Enji. He'd throw a tantrum and try to keep Shoto away from us," I scoffed in a mocking sense. It was probably best that he didn't know yet, since I knew he'd likely take Shoto out of the dorms.
We stayed for a few more minutes before leaving mom to finish getting dinner ready, but we managed to leave with a tin full of cookies.
Once back at the dorms, everyone was hanging out in the main room. That was when Kat walked over to Izuku, saying something to him before leading him somewhere. I hoped he didn't do something stupid, because that wouldn't end well for him. Especially if I find out about it.
Shaking off those thoughts, I went into the kitchen and began making hamburger patties. Wanting to feed everyone after such a long day. I also made potato salad, along with macaroni salad to go with the burgers.
It didn't really take long to prepare as it was an easy meal. So in no time we were all sitting at the table digging in, Kat and Izu weren't back yet and that worried me. It was past curfew, so something definitely was happening and it didn't seem good.
I'd go look for them if it didn't risk getting in shit for leaving the dorms so late.
What felt like ions went by when they both came back into the dorms, covered in bandages. Meaning that they were fighting unsupervised, probably getting them in severe trouble. And it was no doubt Katsuki's idea, since I knew Izu wouldn't have agreed to it unless attacked first.
I shot up from my spot on the couch where I'd been watching Mina, Kyoka and Ochako playing guitar hero. Toru, Momo and Tsu were cheering them on.
My eyes were narrowed about to scold Katsuki for being reckless and stupid. However when his eyes locked onto mine, he rushed over flinging his arms around me. Burrowing his head into my neck as he broke down in deep sobs, not worrying about anyone seeing him like this.
From behind him I saw Izu looking at me with a sympathetic look. One that told me that some shit went down, and bottled feelings finally got let out. There seemed to be a better understanding between the two.
I nodded at the green haired boy before walking backwards towards my room. Looking back to scan my hand before shuffling in to the room. Shoto was already in here, playing a game on his phone. His head perked up at the noise, before noticing our deeply upset boyfriend, clinging to me for dear life.
"What's wrong baby?" He asks walking over to us, and upon hearing his voice Kat lifted his head before launching himself into Shoto's chest, gripping the fabric of his shirt tightly.
"I'm a failure, I couldn't move quick enough to fight against the villains when I was kidnapped. I was weak and it's my fault All Might lost his powers. My idol is powerless because of me," Kat says, voice muffled by Shoto's shirt. It pained me to see him like this, and I knew we both suffered that day. It just didn't occur to me that is was different things.
"It's neither of our faults, especially not yours baby. I'm sure he was going to lose them eventually, if not that day then on a different one," I soothed him, rubbing his back, as I wrapped my arms around him. Sandwiching him in between Shoto and I.
He seemed to think about my statement as I pressed gentle kisses on the back of his shoulder. Trying my best to console him in his vulnerable state.
"She's right darling, and you are far from being weak. Your strength and aspirations of being a top hero really does inspire all of us to try hard and push ourselves so we can achieve greatness," Shoto adds his words of encouragement and Kat stops crying. Slowly pulling his head out of Shoto's chest.
"I love you both so much. I'm lucky to have you in my life," he says quietly, a blush forming on his cheeks. I think that's the first time he's been so flustered around us.
Shoto and I each pressed a kiss into the side of Katsuki's neck. Causing the blonde to shiver at the sensation.
"We love you too. More than words could express," we both say before peppering the boy in kisses all over his face and shoulders. Eventually earning a laugh out of the usually angry boy.
Hopefully the rest of summer goes by without anymore drama.....
