When something begins, we generally have no idea it might end. We look far away from the present and picture how the future will be looking at what we have in the present.

Don't do that.

Expectations can be disappointing.

Like chemicals, life is always changing. Nothing stays the same, unless we're determined enough to keep what we have or seek what we don't.

It takes courage, strength, and...what else?

"Flowers are on each seat, the band will be on the left side of the altar, and the reception will be just over there."

Richie hadn't really slept much the night before. In fact, he was already out of bed at 5 a.m., almost like any work day.

But this was work too for him. Real work. His sister's wedding was not a joke. Not something to take lightly. If there's someone who deserves this day more than anyone in the world, it's his sister.

Becky has been the best sister he could ever ask for. The most caring and supportive sister. Richie feels like he owes her this after all she has been through. He wants this day to go as smoothly as possible, starting from the ceremony.

Well, not exactly.

More like starting from the brides.

Richie sighs and pulls out his phone to answer the third call Nat gives him since he woke up. "What now?"

"Freen just decided to gift Becky a solo surgery as her wedding day gift."

Richie rolls his eyes and drops the flowers he was holding back in the basket. "Seriously?! I told her she was going to be the first to get her hair and make up done. Why does Freen always have to be so damn extra!?"

The location was the only thing Freen specifically requested after all. She wanted the wedding to be right outside their nearly finished house. The only thing they didn't consider was that it might definitely start raining, and Richie was already spiraling because of that.

"We can't lose more time, if it starts raining we won't be able to have the ceremony in the open!" Richie yells again.

"Why are you yelling at me? I told her, but she walked out in a rush and I couldn't do much with a five weeks old in my arms." Nat holds the phone between his ear and shoulder, while the baby is safely cradled in his arms.

"Just get someone to kick her out of that hospital and bring her here, please. I have to find the caterer and the whole crew, who apparently got lost in the middle of the woods."

Nat tries to hold back a laugh. "I told you sending your location wouldn't help. It's in the middle of nowhere."

Richie sighs and softens all of a sudden. "Are you coming here soon?"

"We both will be there. Someone here already misses her daddy!!"

"I miss her too. Get here quickly. Love you!" He quickly hangs up and then looks at the dark clouds in the sky, sighing and closing his eyes. "Please don't rain. Please don't rain. Please..." He mutters.

Then he gets back to work.

********************************

Becky is closing up the patient on the operating table, just finishing her solo surgery while being supervised by her Aunt Rhea. Thankfully, it was a success, and Becky wonders what would Freen do for the rest of their lives together if she did this on the day of their marriage. Then again she didn't have to think much about it, since Freen had already put her life on the line twice to save becky.
