I was organising the neatly folded clothes in the closet, both Aarav's and mine. I had never paid attention to this before, but now that I look at it, my side and Aarav's side are so opposite. We donated all of Sneha's clothes to an ashram or some NGOs, leaving just a few behind. This was Mom's idea, and no one objected because it was a good deed.

Back to reality, here I am sitting in front of my side of the closet and Aarav's side of the closet. Mine is much emptier, but it's filled with many colours, unlike Aarav's, which is filled with just black, grey, white, and other dark colours.

Aarush, who is only ten months old, has more clothes than I do. Aarav had a special space made for Aarush in the closet. Speaking of Aarush, he is with Rani Kaki, who just returned from her village yesterday.

It's been five days since I last had a panic attack and told Aarav everything. It's also been three days since Maa, Papa, and Sonu went on vacation. Sonu kept saying that this vacation was like a death trap for her because they went to their Bua's house, whom Sonu doesn't like at all.

Everything else was fine, just a bit empty, but thanks to Rani Kaki, she filled that emptiness. As for Aarav, he started coming home earlier than before, but work is work, and he can't stay away from it for too long. Just like today, he left early in the morning saying he would try to come back early.

But now it's nine o'clock, and he usually would have been back by now. Maybe he's late today. He called me a while ago and said he would be late and told me to have dinner. So I did as he said. I was hungry, and I had to feed Aarush too, so we ate together. It felt a little empty, but that's okay. I could wait for Aarav, but I hesitated because things had just started to get better between us.

Rushing things wouldn't help. I was bored, so I came to arrange the clothes, and now that everything is done, I'll go check on Aarush. It's his bedtime, and although he wakes up occasionally, it's important to put him to bed on time.

"Kaki, has Aarush fallen asleep?" I asked as I walked into Aarush's nursery. Did I forget to mention that Aarav had a nursery made just for Aarush? Yes, he is changing, trying hard to correct his mistakes. But what can I do? I can't bring myself to let Aarush sleep alone in another room. Aarav also doesn't want him to sleep alone. This room was made so that when Aarush grows up, he can sleep there on his own.

For now, it serves as a space for his toys and a place to play during the day. At night, I prefer having him close by. Aarav understands this and supports my decision, even if it means our plans for the nursery will have to wait a little longer. It's comforting to know that Aarav is putting in the effort, and I'm hopeful that as time goes on, things will continue to improve.
