I couldn't comprehend what was happening, and it was all so sudden. Just yesterday, I was in Aarav and Aarush's arms with my family, and now I find myself here in the basement of our mansion. Everything changed so quickly, and now the danger is so close, our enemies are so near.
I shouldn't be scared; I have complete faith in Aarav that he won't let anything happen to us, but I don't know how to calm my heart. Darsh, Aarav's personal bodyguard, is here with us, taking care of us along with a few other bodyguards.
To be honest, I didn't even know there was a basement here, even after living here for a year. And there's a control room before the basement. As soon as we enter the parking lot of this mansion, there's a secret door with metal stairs leading down, like an underground passage, which takes us to another door leading to the control room. Then, from the control room, another door leads to the basement where we are now.
By "we," I mean Aarush, Rani Kaki, and the rest of the servants and house helpers were not there Aarav had already been given a holiday. We couldn't hear anything from upstairs, but my heart was filled with anxiety. Rani Kaki kept patting my hand, trying to comfort me, even though fear was evident in her eyes.
The basement was dimly lit, the air thick with tension. Aarush was sleeping peacefully in my arms, oblivious to the chaos around him. I held him tighter, feeling a fierce protectiveness wash over me.
My mind raced, thinking about Aarav. I knew he was out there, fighting for us, doing everything in his power to keep us safe. The thought gave me some comfort, but the uncertainty gnawed at me. I tried to focus on the positive and to believe in Aarav's strength and determination.
This was all Aarav's idea, so why am I feeling so anxious? Yes, Aarav told us to stay here to mislead our enemy, Ricky. Aarav was confident that Ricky would attack our mansion, and that's exactly what happened. To deceive Ricky, Aarav pretended to go to the warehouse while our look-alikes were upstairs, secretly keeping us safe down here.
To be honest, I was shocked that someone could look so much like me. Aarav was certain that Ricky had only seen me a few times, so he wouldn't recognize me properly. Aarav had been planning all of this in advance. Now, Aarav must be on his way here because we can't keep Ricky in the dark any longer. By now, he must have realised that we are not in the mansion.
In this moment of uncertainty and hidden danger, I could only trust in Aarav's plan and his unwavering commitment to our safety. Though fear gripped me, I knew I had to remain strong for Aarush, for Aarav, and for our family.
My foot was bouncing with anxiety, and I handed Aarush to Rani Kaki without disturbing his sleep. I got up and started pacing the room. Darsh watched me intently, his eyes filled with concern.
