Hector's POV

This brat stinks like a garbage bin on fire. If he throws up in my car, I'll make him clean every inch of it. How the hell did he get here-and why? More importantly, why the hell is he alone? I swear, if he lost Miles somewhere...

"O'Hara. Wake up and talk to me. I need answers."

Of course he wouldn't wake up. He was soaked in booze, barely conscious. Great. But first things first-get him somewhere safe. I knew his address, but there's no way I'd risk waking up his parents. That would be the final nail in his coffin.

So I took him to my place.

To my old place.

Carefully, I carried him into the guest room and laid him down. He reeked. He'd definitely need a shower and clean clothes. I prepped a quick meal and a painkiller for when he wakes-though I seriously doubted he'd be up soon.

His phone was still in his pocket. I left that alone, but I did take off his jacket and shirt to air out the room a little. I had boundaries-even with someone as mouthy and reckless as him. He was passed out, not consenting, and I'm not a fucking predator. After that, I cleaned myself up, grabbed a quick bite, and collapsed on the couch in the next room.

Will's POV

When I woke up, the room was dark, unfamiliar. At first, I thought I was dreaming. My head felt like it was about to explode, and my stomach was an empty pit. My jacket and shirt were missing. Had I taken them off?

A plate with a sandwich, a glass of water, and some medicine were on the table.

Okay. Not a dream.

So what the fuck?

I panicked. Was I kidnapped? But then... why would anyone kidnap me and then feed me, cover me with a blanket, and let me sleep comfortably? This was too weird. I couldn't remember much from last night except vomiting and stumbling like a drunk toddler.

"Ugh..." I groaned as pain stabbed through my skull.

I devoured the food like a starving raccoon and downed the medicine. Whoever brought me here wasn't trying to kill me-that much was clear. Still, the place was plain. Not creepy-plain, just... ordinary. Definitely not my house. No family photos, no luxury furniture. It felt like a normal guy's place.

Maybe someone found me passed out and wanted to help. But who?

I wandered out, careful, curious-and tripped over something.

"Son of a bitch!"

I fell hard and cursed even louder. Fantastic. Now if anyone was still sleeping, they sure weren't anymore. Just great.

Before I could scramble back to bed and fake sleep, a door creaked open.

"I didn't think you'd wake up this fast..."

The voice froze me. For a second, I thought it was Miles. My still-fuzzy brain forgot that I'd locked him inside my room. Then I saw a tattoo on the guy's arm.

Miles didn't have tattoos.

"Good morning, sunshine," said Hector with the most annoying smirk on his face.

I wanted to evaporate.

"Where the fuck am I?! Give me back my clothes, you sick bastard! I'm calling the cops!"

His eyebrow twitched. He was annoyed. Good.

"Ungrateful much?" he muttered. "Typical."

"I-! You kidnapped me so you could keep me as your sex slave, didn't you?!"

He burst out laughing.

It wasn't funny.

Okay, maybe a little, but still-fuck him.

"You're ridiculous. If I wanted a sex slave, I could do better than you. You're not that special."

I wanted to punch him, but I was also kind of... embarrassed. And still kind of drunk.

"Shut up! I still don't know where the hell I am!"

"Where do you think you are? I saw you stumbling through the street like a lost dog. You were alone. Pissed drunk. I brought you to my place."

"No way. Lies. No one works that late! And this place? It's way too plain for a billionaire like you."

He rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Only someone who's never worked a day in their life would say that. I don't like luxury. This is my parents' old house. I fixed it up a bit, but it's home. Sorry it doesn't meet your spoiled standards."

That actually... made sense.

I suddenly felt like an asshole.

"I just... I wanna go home..."

"Do you, though?" he asked. "You were drunk, lost, and puking on yourself in the middle of New York at 3 a.m. You sure you weren't running away from home?"

He wasn't wrong.

I didn't want to be at home.

I just wanted Miles.

"I'm not keeping you prisoner. You can leave whenever you want," he said. "But take a shower first. I'll get you something to wear. You're small enough, my clothes should fit."

He left me there. Just like that. Gave me the freedom to go if I wanted.

I stood still, heart thudding in my chest, not sure what to say or do.

Eventually, I headed for the bathroom.

Because damn, a shower sounded amazing right now.
