Aarav

I know she was furious and if given a chance she'll swipe those sharp nails right through my throat.

"Kya games khel rhe ho because tum aur mai hum dono jante hai ki tumhara ye drama mere saamne nhi chlega" (What games are you playing, because you and me both know you're facade doesn't works on me) her retort lefts me confused for a moment.

"Mai? aur games?" (You think I'm playing games) I try to be as nonchalant as I can in this situation. She makes a boring face "Get to the point" she huffed.

"Tumhe rang lagana hai" (I want to color you).

Her reaction was instant, eyes wide and gasping "Sochna bhi mat" (Don't you dare). I closed in the gap between our faces until our noses bumped "Dhamki de rhi ho?" (Are you threatening me) I loosened my grip on her wrist and she was wriggling her arms.

"Just because you're use to having your way with girls doesn't mean you can do anything with me" she throws back at me and I tighten my grip on the wrist I twisted.

"You think so highly of you Ms. Mayra Dhanrajgir. I'd rather date chameleons than you" she looked taken aback but the reaction was so minimal if I had blinked I'd have missed it.

"That's good tumhe apna type to pata hai" (That's good you know your type then) I stare at her a second longer before she jerks free off my grip removing her hand from the pocket and throws a color at me. It flows around in the air and I could only make out her figure.

"Agar mujhe rangna hai to thodi aur mehnat krni padegi Aarav Parihaar" (If you want to color me try harder Aarav Parihaar) with that she ran away before I could catch her. This is not a game anymore, and I never lose. Either game or war you've just called trouble Ms. Dhanrajgir.

I left her room in silent rage, the urge to punch a bag of real flesh and bone takes over me.

I exited the house when I caught up with her, I was about to head to her and remind her of who she was talking to when I noticed her line of gaze. She was looking at Iti bhabhi who was engrossed in a conversation with Manav.

She has this look every time she's staring at her sister. I to be honest never knew what it means to lose a sibling who you cannot see on the daily basis.

I remember being mad at Arhaan bhai for leaving to live in New York when I was sixteen but I had Manav, and then Adi, Moksha, Sharan, Aaksha. All of them.

Adrika aunty calls Mayra and she walks towards them, I think the bet can wait for a while. Adi jump scares me and the look on my face  was enough for him to know I'm not in the mood.

"Did Ananya call you again?" I rub my forehead before walking towards a servant. "A coffee" I turned to find a suspicious Adi eyeing me.

The servant hands me my coffee and I leaned on a wall near by sipping and staring at her. Every time she talks she tucks that lose strand behind her ear.

"Seriously?" he follows my line of gaze "Leave her alone if you're just going to trouble her. She's Iti bhabhi's sister" I clicked my tongue.

"She's her sister that's why I'm being nice" he looks at me as if I just made a joke of the century.

"Gimme a drink. I'm too sober to go through the day" Adi snickers snaking his hands in his pocket and brings out a hip flask. He pours half a cup and I sip it all in one go.

The Ilahi song plays in the background and all the cousin gathers around "Brothers come on!" Moksha shouts from the center and Adi runs to pick her up in a bridal style. Aaksha comes to drag me in, we tangle ourselves in a big circle and everybody joins us.

"Wait!" Moksha shouts and leaves the circle "Mayra come!" she drags her in our circle. Everybody jumped dancing and giggling "Happy Holi!" we screamed all together.

Sharan whispers an idea into my ear and on the count of three we lifted Aaksha and threw her in the pool. Adi did the same with Moksha winking at us. The girls screamed then laughed. We shared a brief look before we too jumped in.

"Manav, Arhaan bhai! ajao!" Sharan calls them and maa gestures them to go have fun. They jumped in right after. We laughed, We drank, and we enjoyed alot.

Hours went by and we did not register when we bathed, ate and slept. The sleep after playing holi hits damn hard.

I woke up with a sore back and a throbbing headache. I tossed to find Adi slumbering quietly, I rubbed my face to clear any sleep left and checked in the time. Six O'clock damn.

I grabbed a t-shirt before running for the bathroom then stopped midway. I threw a pillow at his face "Adii!! uth ja saale. Saat baje party shuru hai" (wake up you boar. Party's at seven). He half awakes mumbling something I couldn't understand.

I left him to it and run myself a shower. It took me less than ten minutes to get out of the washroom. "Bruh!" Adi was groaning on the couch "What happened?"

I look around finding his suitcase placed on the floor, he groans again running a hand in his locks "Beer's gone" I rolled my eyes at his dramatic ability.

"We're leaving tomorrow anyway" he doesn't budge from the bed "Get up asshole, we're already late". He complains a minute longer then leaves for the bathroom.

It takes another ten minutes to get ready completely and that's when Adi comes in, he whistles at me when I look at him from the mirror "If you'd try these tricks on girls you can actually pull one or two girlfriends" he feigns hurt on my comment.

"Last I remembered your ex wanted to hook up with me" I threw a deodorant at his face but the bastard missed it.

He smirked and left to fetch himself some clothes when my phone's screen lights up with a missed call. "Well not being a jerk Adi but your current girlfriend's calling me" he glared and I tossed him my phone while making my way outside.
