Aarav

Just when my flight landed in Mumbai I did not go back home immediately so I decided to spend my time at locals. I wasn't in the mood to do anything, I was mad and in the state of destruction when I went back home at twelve in the night, a tender voice called for me "Aarav" I paused midway on the stairs and turned to find maa coming for me.

"Where were you? your dad was looking for you" she completes and I inhale swiftly "I'll meet him first thing in the morning" I made to turn around "It's urgent. He's waiting in his study" she leaves no room for argue so I nod dismissively.

"Aarav" she stops me again "You must listen to him first. He's your dad after all he won't think ill of you" the way she put words to it I doubt "Only when he remembers he has a third son" I don't let her say another word as I pivot on my heels and leave.

After a knock or two I entered his study, his eyes falls on me after a moment "Sit" he orders and I pull a chair out before settling, "Do you have any idea what you did to that boy?" I don't need him to tell me about which boy he's talking.

"No. I left without a proper look" I said, curtly. He straightens from his chair and walks away from the table as he unbuttons his sleeves "You crushed his jaw so violently he's unable to speak at all" his gaze rakes the whole of me and I get up from the chair looking him straight in the eye.

"That boy deserved it and I'm not apologizing for it" as soon as the words were out there was a sting on my face, he slapped me so hard that when I flexed my jaws, the crack sounded.

"Now tell me do you deserve this?" I roll my eyes looking elsewhere as my hands balled into a fist.

"Yashraj wanted to file a case against you for this" he throws back the words more viciously as if he's disgusted by it. "Then why didn't you let him" a muscle feathered in my jaw when I said.

"As true as that I bred a wild animal you still are my son" he spits the words out as if they were laced with pure venom. "Good to know that" it was my dry attempt at sarcasm.

"I've fixed your engagement. Because I've given you enough freedom to do whatever you care and you've only misused it" the anger took the best of me. It's not something he can decide alone. Never. I can't let him take this important decision of my life by himself "You're telling me after fixing it?" I spat out in rage.

"Telling you made no difference. Besides Iti's sister agreed" I only focused on the part where he mentioned Iti's sister.. why would she agree to this? when all she wanted was to get away from me.

"Mayra said ..yes?" It was harder for me to even believe and speaking of it made it sound so unnatural.

"Mayra? I won't be surprised if she doesn't hates you already for what you did to her by bringing her to Khanna's inauguration. So no you're getting engaged to Tanvisha" a storm of building rage occupied my head and I can't seem to think straight.
