It's a cold night and a starry one. A favorite time of my love. She loves star gazing so much that I've began to love it too. I realize now that some sparkles in a plain black canvas can look so pretty and yet so simple.

Today was our Mehendi ritual and we had numerous guests. I was obviously very glad and looking forward to see my bride to be when dadi shattered that moment with just a single word 'No'.

"What do you mean no?" I squinted at her and the rest of the family were trying their best to hold back their laughter. "Bete shaadi se pehle dulhan nhi dekhte" (Boy you can't see the bride before the wedding).

"Haa aur shaadi me ab time hi kitna hai" (Yeah and the wedding isn't even so far) Shorbari maa rounds up with a bright smile to approach me. "So far? we still have an entire day!" I said slouching back on the sofa.

I know they are pulling my leg and it's just some stupid ritual that doesn't makes any sense. Why can't I see my own bride??

"Chill bro. Ye impatience suhagrat me kaam ayegi" (Chill bro. This impatience will help you on your first night) I glare at a grinning Reyan who stretches himself beside me.

"Exactly! gussa mat kr. Stamina khatam ho jayega aur tujhe zarurt hai uski" (Exactly don't anger yourself. You'll lose stamina and you need it) the fvcker Adi winks at me while chewing on his apple.

"Don't worry about me. You have far more notorious thing to worry about" I said playfully mocking him and received a thrown apple aimed for my head. He mouths fvck you before leaving the hall. I know being a jerk isn't helpful but it's good for health, well for my health.

What does Adi think? that I won't notice my very womanizer brother has lessened his female interactions and also drinks once a day. There's no way saving a man who's already drowned in love.

I huffed out an annoying breath when maa settles down on a couch beside me "I know you miss her but quit being a brat" she pulls at my ear. "maa!?" she finally leaves it with a painful tug.

"I'm a grown up maa atleast stop doing it in front of Mayra" I said because she does it all the time.. whenever Mayra complains about me to her which she always does.

She was about to go on with a long lecture when Choti maa pulls at my other ear "Grown up? should we remind you it wasn't so long when we use to change your-" I immediately stood up cutting her off "Please ladies stop embarrassing me" I give a one last pleading look to all three of my moms before walking away.

I was in my room in a matter of seconds.. I not even accidentally happen to see Mayra around me and it only made me more impatient.
