The group was laughing on some inside joke cracked by Adi.. the ultimate humor guy. I was torn between avoiding glances to a certain blackhead and paying attention on what they all were discussing.
At last I lost and failed at attempting to avoid him and finally glanced back. Aarav was busy on his phone and a perfect scowl as if it's the expression made because of him settles on his face.
"I think we should plan this. Right Mayra?" I blinked twice before registering three of the heads turned to me "Mm What?" I tried to focus on what was the topic.
"I think it's the perfect time and weather for a trip. You're also here and your semester hasn't begun yet. What'd you say?" Moksha completes with a wide grin and I'm left confused.
"A trip?" my gaze bounces from her to Adi who was nudging Aarav to get him out of his phone. "How about Shimla?" the curl head, Reyan puts a suggestion on the table.
"It was last year's plan" Adi sighs dramatically while slouching. I don't intervene between them and I think I shouldn't even agree to this trip as all the cousins are going to hang out.
"Aarav bhai. any suggestions?" he takes a moment to look up from his screen, with a straight face his gaze travels to Moksha "To wherever you wish" he simply shrugs going back to the phone.
"I have a place in mind" all the eyes shifted to Navya who finally decided to say something other than give looks to me. "Do the honor.." Adi fought hard an eye roll and I tried my best to hold back my snort.
"How's Goa?" she chimes and rest of them stare at each other. Moksha glanced at Reyan who gave a rise to his shoulder. Adi then interjected "Sounds good", my phone pings with a text from Diya. I unlocked my phone to read the text when someone called me "Mayra. You coming right" I look up to Adi.
"Right coming" I didn't even answer to him before he assumed. "I think I'm not" I hesitantly glance between them and literally no one seemed to notice me as they discussed further.
"Don't worry no one's going to force you out to wear bikinis" a hushed whisper sounded from across me and I turned to find Navya tossing her gaze to me from head to toe.
My brows squinted on her comment but I chose to slide it. Soon after everyone filtered out of the booth one by one "See ya Mayra" Moksha shouted before making her way to Adi's car and I was left alone with Aarav again.
Aarav crossed the distance and settled in his car and I was about to cross when someone tapped my shoulder "Hey" I look back to find Rudransh staring me back with an over spread smile.
"Hey. Are you not leaving with them?" I stared back at the place where Adi's car was parked minutes ago "No no. I'm heading home straight. Just wanted to say goodbye" the corner of his mouth lifts in a smirk.
