21. congrats?

At bakugou residence

Bakugou was teaching Bailey how to tie her shoelaces when his phone rang.

"Keep trying." He said before answering the phone.

Bakugou: hello?
PR manager: I was just noticed that you submit adoption request. Multiple journalists requested to do a story about your journey during adoption process-
Bakugou: no.

He hanged up. He stared at his phone in disbelief. He submit that application yesterday evening. He surprised reporters found out so quick.

Bailey scrunched up her eyebrows as she focus on tying her shoes properly. Bakugou smiled softly. He helped after few minutes since they had to leave on time. They went to agency. When they arrived, bakugou noticed a crowd of reporters outside the front entrance. They used the garage entrance to the building. Bakugou dropped Bailey off at daycare. He went to his office to review some paperwork. Midoriya walked in the office.

"Congrats, Kacchan!"said midoriya. Bakugou raised an eyebrow.

"On what?"he asked. Midoriya smiled dropped slightly.

"On adopting Bailey."said midoriya. Bakugou sighed in annoyance.

"I just turned in the request! I can still get rejected."said bakugou. Midoriya shook his head.

"You have clean background, proof of financial stable, and statement from the social worker. Plus you are top hero. So your application is top priority."said midoriya.

"Whatever."he said. He did feel little better hearing that his chances are very high. "How did you even know?" He asks.

"Some of interns told me. I assume someone in the public records leak that information."said midoriya. Bakugou not surprised by that but he didn't think news would spread over night.

Meanwhile at the daycare

Bailey was sitting at the craft tables when the Kazumi greeted her.

"Morning bunny!"he said. Bailey waved. "Oh! And congratulations on being adopted. Whatever that means." He adds happily.Bailey looked confused.

" my dad was happy when one of intern told him that katsuki is adopting you. I don't know what adopting means but everyone seemed happy about it." He said. Bailey eyes widened in shock. Then she squeal with joy. She did happy dance. Kazumi looked confused but join her in dancing. The twins was confused when they saw their friends dancing to no music.

"What you guys doing?"asked karma.

"Dancing."said Kazumi in an obvious tone.

"Yeah but why?"asked Kira. Kazumi shrugged.

"Bunny started dancing after I told her that she is getting adopted."said Kazumi. Kira gasped before hugging her friend with excitement. Karma looked at Kazumi.

"What adopting means?"asked karma. Kazumi shrugged.

"It's means bunny is permanently katsuki daughter!"said Kira excitedly. The two boys still looked confused.

"But I thought bunny already his daughter."said karma. Kazumi agreed. Kira tried explaining it again but they got more confused. So she gave up.

Bakugou was making dinner while Bailey was drawing a photo. She was coloring in the drawing when bakugou phone rang.

"Mouse, hand me my phone."said bakugou. Bailey grabbed the phone and removed it from the charger. She accidentally answer it.

Present mic: what's up, little listener! Congrats!

Bailey dropped the phone from the sudden loud noise. She drop it on her foot. She hissed in pain as she bounced on one foot. She lost balance and felt on her elbow. She yelp in pain. Bakugou ran in the living room.

"What happened?"asked bakugou.

Present mic: that's a good question! I wonder that too!

Bakugou grabbed the phone from the floor to hang up the call on his loud mouth pro hero. He scanned Bailey for injuries.

"You fine."he said before giving her kisses on where it ache at. He went back to the kitchen. He finish making dinner as he called present mic back. Bailey finished up her photo.

After dinner, bakugou helped Bailey get ready for bed. He bath her and read her a bedtime story. Then he went to the kitchen to clean. He washing the dishes when he noticed Bailey left a mess on the living room table. He finished up the dishes before going to the living room. He put the crayons back in the crayon box. He gather the loose paper to straighten up. He noticed a photo of them. Bailey drew two stick figures of them holding hands. She wrote a misspelling of dad under bakugou stick figure. Then she wrote weird spelling of me under her figure.

Bakugou smiled. He went to the fridge. He placed the photo next to the ugly drawing of a cat she made.
