A week later

Bakugou place a bow in Bailey hair. Bailey was eating chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Bailey was hummed in delight as she ate. Bakugou smile sadly at the back of Bailey head. He kissed Bailey side of head. Bailey looked up at bakugou with smile. While she ate favorite breakfast, He went to the bedroom. He grabbed the file from his nightstand. He opened it to review documents.

He went to the kitchen. Bailey was licking her fingers clean. Bakugou grabbed paper towel and wipe her face. They put their shoes on. Bakugou looked at Bailey.

"You look good."he said. Bailey looked at him confused.

"Kacchan sad?"she signed. Bakugou scoffed.

"No. I just regret not teaching you tie your shoes. I am tired of doing it."he said. He technically telling the truth. He regrets not having enough time to teach her a simple skill.

They left the house. Bakugou drove to a very familiar park. Bakugou got the car to open Bailey door. He helped her out of the car. Bailey grabbed his hand. They walked the entrance of the park. Bailey looked at the park there was event going on. She was excited to see what event it was. They walked to the welcome table. Bakugou was signing something on the table while Bailey stood on her tippy toes to see what he was doing. They walked to tree near the playground. Bakugou kneeled down to her height.

"You remember that promise I made to you about finding a good home?"he said. Bailey nodded with slightly confusion. " this is an adoption event. I am going to help find a good home." He adds.

Bailey eyes widened. She tried to speak but the words never came. Tears formed in her eyes as she realized her stupid voice isn't working for the one of most important time in her life.

"Don't worry. I find you a good home."he said determination. Bailey shook her head. She hugged bakugou neck. He hugged her back. He didn't want to let go but he knew Bailey needs a good home. So he let go and stood up. He grabbed her hand.

"Let's meet some people."he said. They were there for less than an hour and made no progress. Bailey literally ran away each time bakugou attempted to introduce her to potential parents.

Bakugou sat in the bench while Bailey played with other kids. He sighed in disappointment. He didn't want to give up but he gotta go to work in an hour. He went to ask the staff when the next adoption event.

"3 months."she said. He nodded. He had Bailey for almost four months now. He didn't know if wants to keep her another 3 months. She needs a good home not his chaotic home. He went to grab Bailey. She was on the swings.

"I gotta go to work. So let's go."he said. Bailey smiled brightly before following him to the car. He drop Bailey off daycare while he went on patrol with Izuku. They were hopping in between roof of building. Bakugou was telling him how the adoption event went.

"Kacchan, sounds to me she didn't want to be there."said midoriya. Bakugou thought she was just being shy. He didn't think about her not wanting to be there. The adoption event probably traumatized her. That's was poor planning on bakugou part.

"I probably need screen people for private adoptions."said bakugou. Midoriya stopped jumping and stood on the building.

"Kacchan,why don't you just adopt her?"he asked.

"She needs a good home."said bakugou. He looked over the edge of building. He scanned the area for any suspicious activity.

"How is your home not a good home?"asked  midoriya.

"My work schedule is crazy. She could be in danger from being associated with me. Kids need two parents not one. She doesn't even have a room in my house."bakugou points out.

"You can adjust your work schedule. You technically already adapt your life to fit her. You don't come to work at sunrise anymore so you spend time with her in mornings. You are hero you can protect her from your enemies. My mother is a single parent. She raised me well.  And lastly, you own that land that your house is on. Just add a room."said midoriya. Bakugou thought about it. There nothing stopping him from adopting her except some paperwork.

"Someone stop that thief!"yelled an store owner.

"I got it!"said midoriya before jumping down from the building. Bakugou watched midoriya chase down the thief. He took a mental note to research how to adopt from fostering.
