12.meet and greet

Somewhere in the neighborhood

Bakugou was running as he pushed the stroller. Bailey wasn't not in the mood for a morning run. Bailey was fast asleep in the stroller as bakugou was running at a jog pace. He was almost done with his jog when Bailey started clapping her hands. Bakugou stopped and look at in at Bailey. She was awake. She was gesturing to her straps.

"No. That's for your safety."he said. Bailey pouted. Bakugou grabbed a granola bar from the bag under the stroller. Bailey was successfully distracted from the complaining about straps.

Bakugou learned few days ago that Bailey is very food motivated. Anything sweet or snack, big or small will change her mood to a positive one.

Bakugou started heading back home. Once they arrived, bakugou made Bailey a quick breakfast before taking a shower.

Bailey was munching on breakfast as she hum a tune. She heard knocking at the door. She immediately ran to hide in the kitchen cabinet as the knocking continued.

"Oi! Stop knocking before knock you out!"yelled bakugou as he walked to the door. He was drying his hair with a towel as he opened the door. It was shinso.

"What you want,eye bags?"asked bakugou.

"Izuku asked me to make sure you attend the fan meeting today."said shinso.

"That nerd isn't even going! Why do I have to go!?"said bakugou.

"Because Izuku is out of town investigating a crime.  Shoto is on duty today. You are only top hero available right now."said shinso. Bakugou was about to close his door before shinso stopped him. " you signed a contract with the agency to make appearances at several fan events. You won't want the agency to suspend you for breech in contract, would you." He added. Bakugou let shinso in his home.

"Mouse, come here! Time get dress!"yelled bakugou as he walked down the hallway. Shinso stood by the entrance. A tiny girl with silver hair came out of the kitchen. She was about to go to the hallway when she saw shinso. She froze like a deer in headlights. Shinso waved at her. She took a step back.

"Mouse come here!"said bakugou. Bailey ran down the hallway. Bakugou helped her get ready. They left the bedroom. Bailey stay cling to bakugou leg as shinso walked with them. They took shinso car to the event. Shinso guided them to the dressing room.

"Who else is here?"asked bakugou as he started unpacking his hero outfit from his suitcase. Bailey noticed a display of chips and water on the counter. She walked to it.

"Jiro,asui, and lda today. I think your area is next to asui today."said shinso. Bailey was standing on her tip of her toes as she attempted to reach across the counter for the basket of chips on the middle of it

"How long is it?"asked bakugou as he started untying his shoes. Bailey hop a little in hopes of reach it but failed.

"2 hours of fan greeting then another hour of photos."said shinso. He did this last week. Heroes do fan event every few months to help connect with the citizens and popularity.

Bakugou rarely go to these events. He goes to minimum requirements events. He doesn't like talking to people for hours.especially fans, since they ask the questions like 'can I marry you?, ' are you dating this hero?,  or 'what's your favorite color?'.

Shinso was about to walk over to Bailey when she clapped her hands. Bakugou walked to her and gave her the chips.

"I can watch her while you work."said shinso. He watched Izuku kid few times. He knows how to babysit.

"Walk her around the merch area. She need exercise before you struck her in the dressing room for the rest of the event."said bakugou. Bailey pouted at bakugou.

"He is not a villian. But if you are in danger, you know what do, right?"asked bakugou. Bailey nodded.

"Good. See you later."said bakugou. He patted Bailey head. Bailey left with shinso. Bailey ate her chips as they walk from the dressing room to the big conference hall. It was the size of football stadium. The half of the room was line to fan meet and greet while other was stalls selling merchandise. Bailey grabbed shinso pant leg as they walk through the crowd.

Shinso is less popular hero due to his quirk. So a lot of people didn't approach them as they look at each stall. Shinso observed the short child as she look at the sticks, toys and tshirts of the stalls. Shinso was surprised she didn't ask for anything. Izuku kid is always requesting snacks or toys while hang out with shinso.

Bailey saw a cute blanket of pro hero dynamight. The blanket was orange and had bakugou as a cat. Bailey tugged on shinso leg excited as she pointed to the item. Shinso brought it. He carried it as they walked around. After they was done, they was about to leave when Bailey pointed to a display poster. It was a poster of pro hero dynamite that says the line starts here. Bailey pulled shinso to the line. Shinso kneeled down to her height.

"You know you can cut the line because you are his daughter."he said. Bailey placed one finger against her mouth to quiet him. She didn't want to go back to the dressing room yet. They wait in the long line. After 30 mins, Bailey gestured to be pick up because her feet was tired. They heard whispers around them.

"Pro hero dynamight isn't a appropriate hero for kids"
"Isn't dynamight terrible with kids?"
"I heard dynamight adopted a kid but nobody what she looks like!"

Shinso ignored the whispers while Bailey didn't understand why some people didn't like bakugou. After long wait, they were at the front of the line. Shinso placed Bailey on her feet. She happily ran to the table. She stood on her tippy toes to see over the table. She barely see over the table.

"Mouse, why are you here?"asked bakugou. She climbed on the stage and under the table. She stood next to him. She pointed to shinso who was standing nearby.

"Eyebags, why is she here?"asked bakugou. Shinso shrugged. Bailey sighed. She fingerspell blanket. Bakugou grabbed the blanket from shinso.

"Umm it's very nice."he said. He didn't like the design.

"You should get his autograph."said shinso. He gave a postcard to Bailey. Bailey gesture to lifted up. Bakugou place her on his lap as he signed the postcard. Bailey ran to shinso to show him the postcard.

"Mines better."said shinso as he gesture to the signature.bakugou glared at him.

"I think our time is up."said shinso. He guide Bailey to the exit. Bailey was at the exit when she realized she forgot the blanket. She ran back to get it. She ran straight to bakugou. Bakugou looked concerned as she ran behind the table. Shinso appeared out of the crowd. Bailey grabbed the blanket from bakugou table. She went back to shinso. They left the hall.
