4.emergency meeting

At the bakugou residence

Bakugou was sitting at the kitchen table across from the PR managers. They came soon at the sunrise. They wanted to come last night but bakugou didn't want to deal with yet.

"You didn't inform the company that you adopted a child!"said emily. Bakugou sipped on his smoothie before speaking

"I didn't adopt her. I am temporary guardian."said bakugou.

"So you are fostering her?"asked Bobby. He was typing up the conversation for the records.

"Technically."said bakugou.

"You need to filling paperwork for having a child. She needs to be placed on the security list, block quirk list, classified list and you need make a living will."said Emily.

"I did all of that. I send that paperwork to the nerd the other day. Now let's cut the bull and tell me how navigating being popular with a kid."said bakugou. The PR team is make the company look good. Bakugou popularity is low because of his attitude. But after news reporters learn to stop interviews him on the field, his popularity rank increases slightly.

"We will send out an announcement saying you acquired a child and not to bother the kid. It's high chance the public won't believe it since you scared most children."said Emily. She remembers pro hero dynamight did a fan meet at elementary school. Half of school was scared of him because of his resting face is unfriendly.

"So we will let Kirishima or denki post a photo of the kid or mention the kid on social media."said Emily.

"That's it? This could had been an email."said bakugou. He skipped his morning workout for this emergency meeting.

"We also want to ask if you want to use this opportunity to advance your popularity and ranking."said Emily. Bakugou glared at her.

"No"he said sternly. He wasn't going to used Bailey to help his pro hero ranking. He is currently number 3. He was number 2 but shoto jump up in ranking after stopping pirates from taking over a cruise ship.

"A lot of heroes ranking increases since this shows you are caring and-"a loud wail interrupted Emily talking. The loud wail shook the house. Bakugou sighed before going to the bedroom. Bailey was sitting in his bed crying. She fell asleep in her own bed but by morning she was cuddling up in bakugou bed.

"You are louder than my alarm."said bakugou. Bailey stopped when she saw bakugou. She ran to him and hug his legs. He pick her up and carried her in a cradle. He went to the living room. He tried to placed her on the couch. Bailey gripped his shirt tightly. Bakugou gave up and took her with him to the kitchen. He sat down in his seat. Emily and Bobby cooed at the small child. Bailey immediately hid her face in bakugou chest.

"My answer is still no."said bakugou.

"Fine. Should add the topic of the child on the no ask list?"asked Emily. Bakugou nodded as he adjusted the child to rest on his lap. Then they went over details they were willing to share to the public like Bailey is being fostered and 5 yrs old. Bakugou emphasized that Bailey background should be mentioned or implied in any statement.

Bakugou is still waiting for the social worker email him Bailey full background. He only has her food allergy and nothing else. Bailey stomach growling echo in the quiet environment.

"Are we done now?"asked bakugou after glancing at the time on his phone. Bakugou wants to make a routine for the Bailey. This meeting is making breakfast late.

"One more thing,do you want to her face to blur on social media?"asked Emily. Bakugou nodded. Then Emily asked more details about contracts and branding deals. Bakugou is sponsored by Nike for his workout gear. Emily went over if Bailey should be include in it. Meeting continues on for another 30 mins. When Bailey stomach growled louder, bakugou started breakfast as Emily continued to ask questions. Bailey was hugging bakugou leg. She wasn't happy that bakugou put her down but she understood he needed his arms to cook breakfast. She was hungry so she didn't refuse. After he cooked breakfast, he placed the bowl of food on the table. Bailey grabbed the bowl and sat under the table to eat. She sat close to bakugou legs.

Emily gave bakugou a confused look. Bakugou folded his arms as he lean back in his chair.

"She probably tired of looking at your stupid face like me. Are we done yet?"asked bakugou. Bakugou knew Bailey is probably hiding because she is scared but he didn't want to bring attention to it.

"Just one more thing."said Emily. The meeting continued for another hour before bakugou kick them out. He was done talking. Emily wasn't done but bakugou didn't care. He sat on the couch next to Bailey was hiding under a blanket.

"Oi! They are gone."he said. Bailey took the blanket off and went to go play with her toys. She even gave bakugou a sword made of legos.

"Prepare to lose!"said bakugou. Bailey suck at swinging the sword in general. So bakugou barely had to try to win. He poke her with Lego sword.

"Got ya!"he said. Bailey giggled. Bakugou could had swear he heard symphonies. "Wanna try again?" He asked. Bailey smiled brightly as she nodded.
