At the grandparents house
Bailey was learning how to place checkers with her grandfather, Masaru. Bailey was confused when he was announce himself the winner. She pouted. He won three times in a row.
"Cheater!" Said Bailey. Masaru smiled fondly at the little girl flip the game over in frustration. He could see his son antics in his granddaughter. Bailey stomped to the couch to sit down. Masaru explained to her how she lost but Bailey was ignoring him. Then mitsuki came home. Bailey ran to her with a frown.
"What's wrong,sweetie?" Asked mitsuki.
"Grandpa is mean!"said Bailey. Mitsuki immediately scold her husband for upsetting the child. Bailey smiled proudly. Mitsuki went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Masaru cleaned up the mess. Bailey went to help her grandmother with dinner.
Technically Bailey was more company than help. She sat on the counter as talk about a show episode she saw. Mitsuki gave bailey an orange peel to feel helpful as she cooked.
After dinner, mitsuki tried to give bailey dessert but she declined.
" I want dessert with Kacchan." She said. Mitsuki nodded. She placed the pie in the oven to stay warm. Bailey always go home by bedtime. She liked hanging out with her grandparents but she misses her dad. Especially since he left before sunrise.
Bakugou was call into work early this morning. He had to drop bailey off at his parents house. He didn't have time to explain. He kissed bailey head as a goodbye before giving the sleepy child to them.
Bailey was very sad when she woke up hours later. But her grandparents told her that her father will back soon. So bailey spent time with them as usual. They went to park, watch tv and bake dessert! She had a great day. She couldn't wait to tell her dad all the fun things she did today.
"You wanna watch pups the day movie?" Asked Masaru. Bailey happily agreed. Mitsuki stayed to clean the kitchen. She got a phone call.
"Oh! Now you call?! You brat!" Said mituski. Bailey ran to the kitchen. She excitedly patted the woman leg. Mitsuki looked at the child.
" yes,sweetie?" Asked mitsuki.
" Kacchan!" Said bailey as she did a grabby hand at her.
" on hold. Let me talk to him first." Said mitsuki. She focus back on the phone call. Her smirk turned into confusion. She started walking out the kitchen.
"Masaru, watch her." Said mitsuki before quickly walking to her bedroom. Bailey was about followed her when Masaru pick her up.
"Let's finish the movie. You missed the best parts." Said Masaru. He carried her to the couch. Bailey wasn't focus on the movie. She was waiting for mitsuki to come back. After few minutes, she walked in the living room. She paused the tv as she took a seat next to bailey. She looked at bailey with slightly nervousness.
"Sweetie, katsuki has to work late. So you have stay with us until tomorrow."said mitsuki. Bailey shook her head.
"Liar!"she yelled. She always go home before bedtime. He always comes to take her home!
"Sweetie listen to me." Said mitsuki. Bailey stood from the couch. She went to door. She started putting her shoes on.
"Kacchan is coming. Granny is a liar!" She said as she put her shoes on.
"Bailey, katsuki is hero. Heroes sometimes work really really late at night." Said Masaru.
"I will wait! Kacchan is coming." She said. She took a seat on the floor in front of the door. She looked at the door waiting for it to open at any moment.
" he isn't coming tonight. He will be here tomorrow." Said mitsuki. Bailey turn around and super scream.
"Liar!" She screamed. The grandparents was push back into the kitchen. Mitsuki called her son back and hoped he picks up. Fortunately, he does. Mitsuki quickly explains the situation. Then she gave the phone to bailey.
Bakugou: you shouldn't be using your quirk on the elderly
Bailey: they are liar. Kacchan is coming to me!
Bakugou: I will be there tomorrow
Bailey: no! I wanna go home!
Bakugou: my parents can bring you to the house if you want. But I am not going back until tomorrow
Bailey vision started getting blurry as tears form in her eyes. Her hands started shaking.
Bailey: Kacchan please! Come home with me!
Bakugou: mouse, if I could I would. But I can't.
Bailey: Kacchan please! Please! Please!
Bakugou: mouse, I can't-
Bailey: PAPA PLEASE!
The other side of line went silent. Bailey looked at phone with confusion. She wiped her tears to see if the phone call ended when bakugou spoke.
Bakugou: I will home soon as possible, okay?
Bailey: promise?
Bakugou: promise but if you don't go to bed. I am not coming.
Bailey: I will go sleep!
Bakugou: good. Give the phone to the old hag.
Bailey gave the phone to mitsuki. Masaru took bailey to the bathroom to clean her face. Bailey got ready for bed early. Mitsuki had to read her five storybooks to go to sleep.
~next morning
Bakugou let himself into his parents house. He immediately to old bedroom. The sunrise was light in the room from the windows. Bailey was sleeping peacefully in the big bed. Bakugou kneeled next to the bed. He poked bailey forehead. Her face scrunched up. Bakugou chuckled. He did it again. Bailey blindly swat at the annoying thing.
"Good morning, sleepyhead ." He said gently as he rubbed bailey back. She soon as felt the familiar warmth of her father hand. She woke up.
" papa!" She said before jumping into his arms. He kissed her head.
"Let's go home."said bakugou. Bailey quickly agreed.
