19.sundae

At indoor climbing center

Bakugou tighten the harness on Bailey. Bailey looked nervous at the extreme height of the wall. Bakugou placed a helmet on her and attached the harness to a rope.

"All set."he said. Bailey twirled her hair that was pulled into a ponytail. Bakugou walked Bailey to the wall. Bailey gulped nervously.

"Try it."he said. Bailey grabbed the weird shape grips with shakily hands. Bakugou kneeled next to her.

"It's totally safe. You have rope to hold you."said bakugou. Bailey looked uncomfortable.

"I know a place that sells great sundaes. You want get sundaes and try this again later?"asked bakugou. Bailey shook her head. Bakugou mentioned he likes rock climbing to her recently. Bailey wants to be cool like her father.

Bailey started slowly climbing the wall. She barely was inch off the ground when her foot missed the grip. She fell backwards and onto her bottom on the mat.

"I should had been recording. That's was funny."said bakugou with a smile. Bailey glared at him. She tried again. She climbed past bakugou height. She was reached the top within seconds.

"Hit the bell."said bakugou. Bailey hit the bell. Bakugou clapped. Bailey climbed down the 7 foot wall. She was proud of herself. She did a happy dance. Bakugou tried not to laugh at her.

"You wanna try again?"he asked. Bailey looked across the room. She saw wall with a pink bell on the top. Bailey pointed to that one. Bakugou refused.

"No."he said. That wall was 15 feet in height. She not ready for that he thought. But Bailey wasn't thinking about the height. Everything was taller than her. So she pouted with begging eyes.

"No."he said as he ignored looking at her. Bailey noticed he wasn't looking. So she stepped in bakugou line of sight. She kept moving with his head.

"Fine."he said. Bailey squeal with excitement. He unclip her from the rope. They went to the other wall. Bakugou attached her to the rope. Bailey began climbing.

Bakugou watched as she slowly climbed past his height. He got slightly nervous as she climbed out of his arm reach. He immediately analyzed his surroundings if he can use his quirk fly up to catch her.

Bailey was focus on climbing to the top to reach the bell. She didn't even notice when she passed up 10 feet marker. Bakugou watched as she climbed higher. He was proud her but also nervous. He didn't understand his nervousness since he knows this activity is safe.

Bailey smile as she reached the top. She hit the bell. Bakugou clapped for her.

"Good job now climb down."said bakugou. Bailey looked down. Her eyes widened how far is was for the ground. It seems like the ground was miles away and not feet. Her heart started beating faster as it started getting harder to breathe. Her grip weakened and suddenly she was falling backwards. She screamed as she fell. Bakugou caught her.

She was shaking like leaves as bakugou unclip the useless rope. The rope was supposed to slow down her fall but it didn't. If bakugou wasn't here, she would had slammed into the mat.

Bakugou rocked her in his arms as he tried to comfort her with words. He took the harness off the child. He did her get sundaes at ice cream place nearby. Bailey didn't touch her sundae.

"Mouse, what's wrong?"asked bakugou. Bailey looked at her sundae with sad face.

"Bad" she signed. He took a spoonful of her ice cream from her bowl.

"The sundae taste good to me." Said bakugou. Bailey shook her head. She thought about what she wanted to said.

"Bad climate" signed Bailey. Bakugou tried not laugh at her doing the wrong sign.

"It's climbing not climate."said bakugou. Bailey nodded. "You not bad at rock climbing. You reach the top of each wall. You earned that ice cream."He added. Bailey looked unsure.

"If you feel like you didn't earn it. I guess I eat."he said. He reached out to grab the bowl. Bailey immediately grabbed the bowl and brought it closer to herself. Bailey ate a spoonful. Bakugou looked at her fondly.
