TYPE OF REPORT: Event Report

*Note: I came up with the recycling centre's name, 're:O'. In case you're wondering what it means, the 'O' stands for 'cycle' so it's basically a quirky way to write 'recycle'. Feel free to steal it!

School Trip to a Recycling Centre

Introduction

This report aims to evaluate the trip our class went on last week and highlight its positive and negative aspects as well as making suggestions for improvement.

Positive Aspects

We were taken to [city] and visited the largest recycling centre in the country, 're:O', to learn more about the process of recycling. According to some classmates, the guide did an excellent job of highlighting the significance of recycling. Thus, we became more environmentally aware. Moreover, we learnt how new products result from this process. Therefore, we have a better understanding of recycling.

Negative Aspects

It must be noted that we could not explore all parts of the centre due to the short time frame given. As a result, the trip was unsatisfactory. In addition, the guide only explained the theory behind the process, rather than the intricacies of working at such a place. As a result, the trip was quite monotonous.

Suggestions

Overall, it was a very successful educational trip, enjoyed by most students. However, I would recommend arranging for it to be longer next time, as well as hearing personal stories from the employees working there. That way, students will make the best of such an experience.
