TOPIC: Reading the book or watching the movie adaptation?
Books Vs. Movies
Have you ever had to decide whether to read the book or watch the movie adaptation? On the one hand, by reading the book you stimulate your imagination, whilst on the other, by watching the movie, you could have a great family night.
No one can deny that there are many benefits to reading the books of an epic story. To begin with, they allow you to better immerse yourself in the story, due to the immense detail and well-written descriptions. As a result, you have a better understanding of the story. Additionally, reading can improve your writing skills, since you observe a variety of ways language can be used. Thus, you express yourself way better.
However, there is no doubt that watching the movie adaptation also has its perks. Firstly, movies can be enjoyed and shared with others by gathering a group. Hence, this allows for quality time with friends and family. Furthermore, movies are fast-paced and full of suspense, because of the great directing and constant visual stimulation. Therefore, you are guaranteed not to lose interest in it.
To conclude, although some people claim you enrich your language skills by reading, others insist you are kept at the edge of your seat when watching the movie. I believe it comes down to personal preference.
