Travelling: Writing a story of your own?
Have you ever wondered if travelling really has as much of an impact on your life? On the one hand, travelling allows you to broaden your horizons and expand on already-existing knowledge, whilst on the other, you may end up with lots of debt.
There is no doubt that travelling allows you to expand on your knowledge of foreign cultures and languages. To begin with, you learn more about the locals' mentality and customs, through observing and interacting with them. Thus, you are exposed to a new way of thinking and acting and may even make new friends or important connections. Moreover, you can visit several monuments of high historical value. As a result, you have a better understanding of world history and become a well-rounded individual.
Needless to say, there are many reasons journeys may not always be associated with positive experiences. Firstly, travelling to far away destinations is not all that affordable to most people because accommodation and flight tickets are really expensive. Hence, you need to pay an arm and a leg to fly abroad. In addition, you do not have to travel to costly far away destinations to have a more meaningful travel experience. You could have an awesome experience traveling to closer and cheaper destinations when accompanied by close friends and family. Therefore, you can still spend quality time bonding with your favourite people.
Overall, although exotic journeys are a great way to unwind, as well as educate yourself, travelling abroad is not synonymous to having a great time. I believe everybody should be open-minded to go on a journey once in a while.
