Garden Dinner

Avery's POV

I was sitting in the hotel room, flipping through a magazine,  gabi na at wala pa rin sina Tyler at Tyrone. Nagtataka ako dahil kanina pa silang lunch umalis na dalawa at sinabi ni Tyler na may pupuntahan lang sila. Kanina ko pa rin ito tinatawagan pero di niya ako sinasagot. Nasan naba sila?

Naputol ang pag-iisip ko when Ruth suddenly appeared with a mischievous grin on her face. "Avery, close your eyes and trust me," she said, holding up a silk scarf.

Napakunot naman ang noo ko. "What's going on? Where is everyone?"

Ruth chuckled softly. "Just go with it. Let me put this on your eyes."

Reluctantly, I closed my eyes, allowing Ruth to tie the scarf gently around my head. The world went dark, and I felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity.

"Okay, Ruth, spill it," I teased, trying to lighten the mood. "What's the occasion?"

"You'll see," Ruth replied cryptically, guiding me out of the hotel room with a gentle hand on my arm. We walked down the hallway, her steps sure and purposeful.

As we moved through the corridors, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of wonder and nervousness. Where were we going? Why had she blindfolded me? And where were Tyler, Tyrone, and our friends?

I could hear the soft hum of voices around me, indicating we were not alone. "Ruth, seriously, what's happening?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"Just a little further," Ruth replied, guiding me forward with careful steps.

Suddenly, I felt a change in the air. The sounds of nature, the whisper of wind through leaves, and the distant melody of a violin filled my senses. My heart skipped a beat as I realized we were outside, somewhere in the open air.

Ano bang nangyayari?

After what felt like a small eternity of walking, Ruth finally stopped. "Okay, we're here."

"Can I take off the blindfold now?" I asked eagerly.

Ruth chuckled softly. "Yes, go ahead."

Carefully, I untied the blindfold and blinked against the sudden brightness. As my eyes adjusted, I gasped in astonishment.

I saw a breathtaking garden, illuminated by twinkling fairy lights and adorned with candles and flowers. In the center, a beautifully set table for three awaited us, surrounded by a variety of blooming flowers. In the background, a violinist played a gentle melody, adding to the magical ambiance.

"Oh my..." I murmured, at a loss for words as tears welled up in my eyes.

Standing beside the table was Tyler, holding a bouquet of flowers, his eyes filled with warmth and love. Nearby, Tyrone held a small flower in his hands, his face beaming with excitement.

I covered my mouth in surprise, overwhelmed by Tyler's unexpected gesture. I hadn't anticipated this at all. Ano bang meron at bakit may pasurprised sila sa akin na ganito?

Tyler walked towards me, a gentle smile on his face. "I thought you might enjoy a quiet moment away from everything." he said softly and handed me a bouquet of flowers. Kinuha ko naman iyon.

My heart swelling with love and gratitude. "Tyler..."

His eyes never leaving mine. "I know you're in pain from the injections they give you every time we're in the hospital. But tonight, I want you to feel normal. To not worry about your sickness."

Tears streamed down my cheeks, lumapit ako sa kanya atsaka ko siya niyakap. "Thank you, Tyler." I whispered, my voice breaking with emotion.

"You deserve it, Avery. We all do." Tyler replied, holding me close.
