Surprised Visit

Avery's POV

After six consecutive days of grueling hospital appointments, we decided it was time for a break.

Today, we planned to visit the Statue of Liberty. The morning air was crisp and filled with a sense of adventure as we descended to the hotel lobby.

As we stepped into the lobby, napahinto kami ni Tyler sa paglalakad, surprise and delight washing over us. Sitting comfortably in the lobby chairs were four familiar faces. At hindi ko talaga inaasahan na makikita ko sila ngayon dito.

Mark, Caleb, Lucas, and Ruth were engrossed in conversation, seemingly oblivious to our arrival.

"Guys!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a mix of shock and joy.

All four heads turned in our direction, their faces lighting up with smiles. They jumped to their feet, and in an instant, we were enveloped in a group hug.

Tyrone, still groggy from waking up, looked on curiously, rubbing his eyes.

"What are you all doing here?" Tyler asked, astonishment evident in his voice.

Ruth grinned. "Surprise! We wanted to be here for support, and maybe to explore New York a bit."

Mark nodded. "We've got your back, Avery. All the way."

"Nung nag aya si Lucas dito, we didn't think twice and immediately booked a flight. We arrived last night and have already rested," Caleb said.

I felt tears prickling at the corners of my eyes, overwhelmed by their gesture. "You guys didn't have to do this. But I'm so glad you did."

Lucas ruffled Tyrone's hair. "Hey, buddy! How are you?"

Tyrone looked at him. "I'm good and handsome as always."

Caleb smirked, teasing Tyrone. "Don't get lost now, little man."

Tyrone crossed his arms, frowning. "I'm not little! And I won't get lost!"

We all laughed, the atmosphere lightening even more. Ayan na naman sila.

Ruth turned to me. "We're staying at this hotel too. Thought it'd be fun to surprise you."

I shook my head, smiling. "We're heading to the Statue of Liberty now. Want to join us?"

"Actually, we've been waiting for you for a while. We were planning to invite you to explore the city with us." Lucas said, already pulling out his phone to look up directions.

The drive to the ferry was filled with chatter and laughter. Nagtanong sila about sa treatment ko at sinabi kong hindi pa lumalabas ang resulta ng ibang test na ginawa sa akin.

Tyrone was bursting with questions about the city, and our friends answered each one with patience and amusement. When we arrived at the ferry terminal, the sight of the Statue of Liberty in the distance filled us all with excitement.

Totoo naman palang mamamangha ka kapag nakita mo ito. Isa talaga ito sa tourist attractions na pinupuntahan sa New York.

We boarded the boat ferry, and as it made its way across the water, we took in the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. Tyrone was fascinated, pressing his face against the glass and pointing out every interesting sight he saw.

The rest of us enjoyed the moment, savoring the rare opportunity to relax and take in the beauty of the city. May mga kasabay din kaming mga american sa ferry at lahat sila ay natutuwa kay Tyrone. Napakahyper naman kasi kahit hindi niya kilala tinatanong niya.
